Yata mirror and Totsuka blade are spiritual weapons that have no effect on the physical world, an example of a spiritual weapon is this:
A spiritual weapon from It's name is something bound to your soul and having it gives you the ability to apply it to the real world by giving it a physical form but the spiritual weapon is still inside of you, if we destroyed Sasuke's susanoo bow he can just make a new one.
The fact that Orochimaru has been looking all his life for them means that those weapons are not essentially bound or a part of susanoo, having them inside of you gives you the ability to apply their effect with susanoo or something else.
But a lot of Itachi fans think that those weapons that he uses with susanoo are literally spiritual weapons, which is wrong cuz they are obviously susanoo weapons, so what I'm going with is that those weapons contains a spirit, this means that every time Itachi wants to use them he draws them out of his soul/body to susanoo and then he returns them to his body when he dispels susanoo? which there is a big problem with it.
The databook says that Totsuka can cut throw anything just like Sword of Kusanagi and Yata can rebel any attack.
But it doesn't say anything about them being absorbed by Preta:

We can see Nagato didn't absorb Amaterasu instead he used Deva which shows how weakened he was, and when he got stabbed by Totsuka when he wasn't looking and stabbing him freed him from being controlled by Kabuto which may be why he didn't absorb them, or cuz if you got stabbed you can't do anything.
Another thing that it doesn't say is S/T jutsus like Kamui and Yomotsu Hirasaka and others, those types of attacks can't be rebelled or cut, if you used for example Kamui susanoo shuriken and Kamui raikiri and such those attacks would destroy those weapons, Kamui is also dangerous because of the fact that Itachi is not fast while he is using susanoo means that they can get warped to kamui dimenstion.
Another way is with Yomotsu Hirasaka and other similar S/T jutsus like Sasuke's, if Itachi tried to attack him with Totsuka he will just open a portal and make the sword enter then close it immediately.
The last way is not a big problem unless those weapons are actually spiritual which means if you destroyed a part of them they will lose a part of their spirit which means that the weapon or a part of it is lost forever.
Another thing about Totsuka is that it seals you in a genjutsu world that Orochimaru already escaped from which leads me to think if Sasuke can pull an Obito and just escape the releam the same way Obito escaped the releam of death.
Another problem if they are spiritual is that a Rinnegan user can just use Human Path and take the weapon from Itachi through susanoo.
