It will contain very heavy spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, my advice is not to keep reading.
Let's start saying that I adored the movie, Plus, I knew that critics trashed it so my expectations were pretty low, but what I've seen in the theatre really surprised me in the positive meaning.
Yes, it has some weaknesses, for example it puts too much irons to the fire, since half of the DC Universe appears in a way or another (Wonder Woman, Flash, Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Doomsday, Zod, without counting obviously Batman and Supes and their respective crews)
But mainly I found it great, the story was very well maintained, especially I loved all the troubles in which Superman caught with mankind.
I would like to analyse the main characters one by one:
Batman
Superman
Wonder Woman
Lex Luthor
Doomsday
In conclusion: **** critics, **** box office. The film was awesome, I highly recommend to go watch it.

Batman
If you're going to the theatre expecting the problematic but kindhearted gentleman we've seen in Nolan's trilogy, stay at home. This is not the Batman you used to know. The Bruce of this movie is an old, frustrated and violent vigilante. Just like a richer version of The Punisher form Marvel with a bat pyjamas. He kills, uses firearms, tortures and marks his enemies with his symbol.
He even cheats in the fight with Superman, using tons of kryptonite against a way way stronger opponent. Yes, he wins. But shall I remind you of the scene in which Supes regains part of his powers and Batman looks at him like "please don't hurt me!"?
All in all, Batman does more mistakes than else in this movie, he acts like an obstacle for Superman in the whole film, and not being able to fight with Doomsday, he gets almost useless in the final scenes.

Superman
The only superhero in the movie. Pure awesomeness. He gets accused to be a danger, to be a role breaker, and even to be a false god. And who accuses him are the human people that he loves, that he just wants to protect even if they don't owe anything to him.
Parallelisms with Jesus are countless, even some scenes remind some religious paintings.
When he died, I almost cried. Only a real hero can sacrifice his life to protect a world that fears and hates him.
Not even a Superman supporter like me could have thought that he would have been that amazing.

She's not the kind of character you like or dislike for now. If you know a bit the character, you know how she'll act in the movie. She's super strong, but just reveals her power during the clash of Doomsday. For the best part of the film you'll have Diana Prince and not Wonder Woman. Story will surely focus on her more in the sequel of this movie, we'll see.
Lots of people dislike him because they say he's just Joker with no make up. Truthfully, I didn't found the two characters so similar.
Anyway I liked him, even if I wonder how can he know about Darkseid's existence, when Batman meets him in jail.
I'm sure he has other surprises to show us.

Doomsday
You'll like him proportionally as how you like mindless beasts. But he's a worthy opponent in a superheroes movie: super powerful, super evil, impossible to kill with conventional method because he absorbs attacks and becomes stronger (Preta Path GG). The ideal opponent to give Superman a chance to die in glory, and Wonder Woman the chance to reveal herself.
