Kakashi grew up to be a better Sharingan-user than most of the Uchiha ever were. Good thing Fugaku (and plot) decided to spare Kakashi out of respect for Obito's wishes.

Beats me. Maybe Sharingan weren't stolen that much, if not at all. Danzo got all of his from all the Uchiha dead from the massacre, if I recall correctly.

But even if you don't believe they are, is this situation not perfectly plausible and realistic? Of course the Uchiha would have problems with an outsider possessing their Kekkei Genkei.
