Ashura can't use bijuus against Indra without Indra being able to take it from him. If bijuus were to enter into the equation, Indra would've killed Ashura.

The only difference is that Indra used perfect susanoo to stalemate Ashura's avatar. Now add bijuus to the equation and the only one that changes for the better is Indra. So Indra wouldn't lose if that was the case.

Idk man that shit Sasuke used was pretty badass. But either way I actually think Indra probably would've killed him too. There's a whole different feel of badass with him that I just is cutthroat as hell
