I think Drake is mediocre at best. He has ghost writers, his lyrics are slightly above subpar, he isn't original, he's just more of a mainstream, cliche rapper. Of course that's just my opinion, people like different things, I like conscious rap because it tends to have more lyrical substance, I mean, how tf can a song titled "hotline bling" become so popular when his dancing is a complete reflection of his lyrical talent? I don't see the appeal either dude smh Damn shame

He's good but he isn't great. I'm from Toronto so alot of the hype comes from that. He can rap and his lines are catchy. I just don't like his voice, it sounds so weird.

No. Not really(at least i dont). I can give 0 fcks about an artists personal life (unless he chooses to reveal that in his music) and still like the artist because his music is good (I.e. bangers)

Anyway I was drunk when I posted this so let's not analyse too much. In fact forgetting it completely is just as viable an option.

He is a mainstream culture vulture. So if you follow the mainstream trends you're his prey. They'll play it over and over telling you everyone loves it, until you either do or hate him.

It's funny, yesterday this girl was trying to prove she was cool to me , by dissing his Hotline Bling song on the radio. Talking about how the radio plays it all of the time, and how he's not even that great but everyone hypes him. And how he's so annoying and she's tired of seeing him.

I lol'd.. I've literally heard the song like twice and he's never in my face. I'm not annoyed by him, only time I ever talk about him is when people try to prove they're cool. Which if you were, you wouldn't be talking about drake to me, you'd have more interesting things to say.

People like him cause his songs are catchy and fun to listen to. As far as lyrics and actual rap goes he isn't top tier. He has lots of fangirls due to his soft songs like "Doing it Wrong", "Marvin's Room", "Shot for Me".
