No matter what he says Itachi, right now things are different...

In any case Madara is not Izuna, and we do not know his powers. This does not mean that Tobirama beats Madara just because he beat Izuna.

I would imagine from the evidence the manga has given us, that Tobirama is stronger than MS Madara.

On the contrary, Izuna seemed to actually respect Madara, even moreso when Izuna couldn't believe that there was somebody even stronger than Madara. Izuna was the same person that sparred with Tobirama and not even once did Izuna see Tobirama as Madara's superior, which implies that Tobirama himself wasn't on the same level as Hashirama who was the only one considered Madara's superior until Madara awakened the Sharingan. Hell, we have Hashirama's father expressing concern about Madara because he managed to kill Adults within the Senju clan, being completely aware of Madara having a brother. Madara was perceived as the greater threat, displayed more talent overall, and even awakened the Sharingan far earlier than Izuna did.

Izuna was never on Madara's level.

While I do agree with this, Minato's reflexes or body speed pales in comparison to Tobirama's seeing as how KCM Minato failed to tag Juubito and performed worse against him in comparison to Tobirama.

That's talking before they awakened until they awakened their sharingan. Izuna is unlikely to have had Susano, nor do we know if he was as strong as Madara once he obtained the MS. It's a bunch of speculation, so Madara wins by portrayal.

And there's multiple things within the manga from Hashirama's experience that contradicts that.
