When Guy moved towards Madara, Madara noticed the space around him distorting. Guy speed basically distorted space around him, in essense Guy's movement was Light speed. This may sound contradicting, However it is known objects becomes distorted when moving at Light speed.

Conclusion: This above examples proved my claims is accurate. Eight gates Guy did indeed moved at Light speed. His speed distorted space around him which made Madara movement becoming null and void.​

If he was moving at light speed, how did madara have time to observe and say "Fast, what?! He's bending space". If he was moving at fast, the staff wouldnt have even had the time to bend because madara should have been blitzed ages ago. Even in the anime it looks slow.

Already saw the trailer, still wasnt as fast as you are saying. Lightspeed is a speed that madara or anyone can in no way see or follow or track. Madara had time to say like 5 words in between the time of gai approaching. If madara had kamui or ftg, he would have dodged that.

Wouldnt have been impossible. Madara could have mentioned it afterwards, during the time he was saying how gai almost killed him. Or the databook could have explained later on.

The problem with that scene is that it should have looked almost instantaneous. You say the anime slowed the scene down but there were no slo mo bits to it, it was alll moving at real time. The anime did it exactly like the manga. The panels show gai moving from one place to another across 2 panels, still not having reached madara yet. Madara has time to say "fast." Then even mutter up another sentence. Scene was definitely flawed, we've seen faster attacks.

Night guy was Guy ultimate attack. It was faster and more powerful than Evening elephant. The Anime failed to portray Guy's movement when using Night Guy. For instance, the recent Dragon Ball Super episode showed the battle between Beerus and SSJ3 Goku. Normally, SSJ3 Goku punches and movement are lightspeed if not more. However the Anime failed to depicts any instantaneous movement, Beerus was basically evading Goku's assaults while having a conversation with him. Same situation can be applied to why Guy movement wasn't actually instantaneous when the Anime was released. The Anime editors just want us to follow the scene without being confused.

There is no way that was the speed of light.
