Firstly, this is about breaking Tsukuyomi, not avoid getting caught. Secondly, Gai can only troll fight a Sharingan user without eye contact, only a Sage Mode user can hold up a serious fight.

Any one who can sense and fast can dodge the tech, just like Ay. So basically, who is better than AY in those cateorgy can counter genjutsu.
Also massive shadow clones can do the trick too. That is why Kishi let Naruto encounter Itachi 1v1 not his clones.

why is it a troll fight where Guy is concerned. He did more damage than anyone could have hoped to save Naruto and Sasuke. He is adept at fighting doujutsu users (Kakashi is his rival after all)
There was a theory (and it's just a theory):
That when guy opens the inner gates and enters the hidden lotus the sheer amount of chakra flowing through the chakra breakers in the body (including the eyes and brain) would overload and cancel out the chakra disruption to the brain thus releasing him from it. This is just speculation but there you have it.
Man. I don't know about the Otsutsuki family anymore. It seem like none of them never had a "sharingan" before. Like Kaguya only gained one after eating the fruit. That started the whole bloodline for sharingan user.
To me it seem like Otsutsuki only had the byakugan or tenseigan. They only gainned rinnegan or sharingan due to eating the fruit or being descendants of Kaguya AFTER she ate the fruit.
May be she stole the fruit from the tree with many fruits from the clan planet then come down to earth, marry fodder and creating BS story, so now her clan is after her and collect the chakra...
