None of this matters. Plot nerfing aside, in VS they're made to be at 100% by default. It's confirmed Naruto has at least BSM, while Sasuke has his EMS and tomoeless Rinnegan. War Arc BSM Naruto could already beat Hashirama (SS restricted) with his FBD, Sasuke can just use Ameno, CT or Rinnegan: Genjutsu. After we find out for sure what's going on with their Rikudou power up, this can only change into a stomp, since I described them without it.

For the most part of the chapter, Naruto was just standing there doing nothing. Sasuke already beat both Shins at the same time with a single use of a non-offensive Amenotejikara, while he failed to protect Sarada with Susano'o mostly because Kishi intended it as symbolism. It's beyond obvious Naruto and Sasuke were barely even trying, and getting caught off guard by a new ability isn't shameful, since 1R JJ Madara was toyed with by Sasuke's Ameno.

And the last Naruto and sasuke practically spank, Naruto was spanking toneri with just KCM , sasuke negged a large asteroid with just chidori that took 4+ Hachimon users including lee to break. But I feel as if Naruto and sasuke and underestimating their enemies, adult Naruto had to protect the children but he could've just used kurama avatar and stuck them in there while Naruto negs, or sasuke. You know it's a nerf when you don't see kurama avatar or Susano and when Sarada starts fangirling over her dad when Naruto comments that sasuke has barely even done anything yet, dat sauce.

Naruto hasn't even moved while in his form and sasuke only has used ameno and firestyle yet people are knocking them down when they haven't even showcased anything
