Kabuto > itachi and Sasuke in 1 on 1s

DSM Kabuto could beat any Itachi in a 1 v 1. If it weren't for Sasuke, Kabuto would've beaten him at least twice before Izanami asspull. EMS Sasuke gets negged by Sage Art: White Extreme Attack alone. (I realize he couldn't beat rinnegan Sasuke.) Just saying the Uchihas got lucky.

Sasuke pretty much was trying to kill him and Kabuto handled them and his attacks would be similar to Itachi's.

Without Edo Tensei Kabuto gets wrecked. Itachi had kabuto in Izanami from the start of the fight before he really started damaging him. Sound Genjutsu is not very effective if you're not in enclosed area ex. Cave/tunnel

they were using attacks that would kill normal people, but not him. plus you have to realize they had attacks such as amaterasu to hit him with, which would force him to shed his skin, leaving him entirely defenseless for something like totsuka blade, or simply damaging him deep with enton where it can't be shaded off. alternatively, they could have just knocked the cave down with susanoo, killing him.

Ummmmm..... No. Shikamaru was a slow genin at the time. Sasuke and Itachi are speed gods and genjutsu masters. In an open area the further from the sound the weaker the Genjutsu is. That's why Jiraiya had to lure Pein into the tunnel. Think before you speak.

any advantages he had would not be convenient in another fight, as he wouldn't have leverage such as edos and home field advantage in a normal fight. also, damaging with amaterasu will force shedding, leaving him open to totsuka blade.

First of all Itachi didn't want Sasuke there in the first place. Secondly in the real world, you could never outrun sound. This is why we're talking about a manga.

yeah, if you pay attention, you'll notice that the first time itachi gets hit, his eye is faded white in the manga Lol

meaning that was a part of izanami. also, that never would have even been nessecary if he was allowed to kill him from the start.

Itachi had to protect Sasuke and might have been near-blind still. Itachi was dead and immortal, so he didn't need to try as hard.

Healthy Itachi with Kotoamatsukami and Sasuke Amaterasu everything around them to death. Itachi potentially could use Izanagi, as well. If Itachi and Sasuke weren't trying to stop Edo Tensei, they have 0 reason to go into Kabuto's cave. Healthy Itachi Shadow Clones speed blitz with higher than KCM Naruto speed, keeps them out of genjutsu, and they Yasaka everything. Anti-social Kabuto has no friends and his Edo Tensei wouldn't get to Sasuke or Itachi if they sided with the Alliance, or hid.
