I just realized something about Sasuke ...

Let's see.
Sasuke after so many years encounters The Akatsuki and after the Celebi Uchiha kid runs, Sasuke sends word to Naruto via his hawk summoning where his daughter realizes she wants to find her father unbeknown to her he just sent his hawk to the Leaf.

It makes total sense. Sasuke neglected to send any letters to her during all the years he was away there is no excuse, none that can justify this. Not being in an area to use a phone is stupid when he has the hawk summoning and even if he couldn't use that because of some other reason you can't say he never had what? 5-10mins to write a letter summon a hawk and send it to Konoha? please.

Well let's see, It could be that Sasuke has a lot of enemies in the area, they could be very cut off from the rest of the world and not know that Sasuke has a family. If Sasuke kept in contact with his family regularly one of his enemies could shoot down his hawk and use that intel against Sasuke.

So there can be excuses, but I honesty doubt u care about that :|

This seemed more believable after chapter 1, especially after Sakura said he was on an important mission.

But chapter 2 made it seem like he was pretty chill and is still in contact with Naruto, it's looking more like he just doesn't care about his family and everyone is fine with it except for Sarada. It's messed up.

Because it would not take a rocket scientist to figure out that if an Uchiha child is in Konohagakure, then it is obviously Sasuke's child.

That and Naruto said Sasuke is doing reconnaissance and surveying undeveloped territories as his mission (Chapter 2). OD said that Sasuke meeting the Akatsuki/Uchiha was recent, as in just happening for the first time ever.

I don't really have a theory yet because the evidence is not there, but I don't believe Kishimoto would destroy Sasuke as a father like that.

He can't keep his eye in everything and in every dealing that goes on in whatever country he is in. They could very well send shinobi to Konoha to kidnap Sarada and he would know nothing of it until his daughter was captured and brought before him.

And if relations with the country and Konoha are volatile then acting against officials would cause more problems.

Naruto has a job and he can't watch out for everyone

Sasuke was already married and his child's last name was Uchiha before he left. Sasuke's clan name means a lot to Sasuke so letting it disappear would have been painful for him. Also not sure whether Sakura would have allowed it

It probably made Sakura really happy to be able to call herself his family as well. Removing the Uchiha name would mean that once again Sasuke is the last of his clan. (That he is alone) I doubt Sakura would let him do that. :|

And this is all assuming they are married and Sarada was born between them, ignoring the whole Karin and missing birth records situation.

I really wish you were right because I supported their relationship post-ending, and this would make both Sakura and Sasuke look much better, and there still might be a chance, but so far everything is pointing another direction, as messed up as it is. It is unnecessary and does more harm than good no matter what turns out to be the case.

You are right it isn't about Pride, It's about his desire to keep his clan's name alive and not forgotten amongst people but Same argument could of been used for Minato but he put that aside in favor of his son's safety so people wouldn't target him for being the son of the 4th Hokage.
