Ashura was the one chosen by hagoromo to be his succesor and also hagoromo gave him his power so i dont see how indra would ever be able to defeat ashura with the senjutsu of the six paths plus the rinnegan, nevertheless the plot said they both died.

Incorrect, he didn't give any Ashura power as i recall, it was only said he entrusted his will to Ashura.

Wait whut? Hago didn't give Ashura his power, he made Ashura his true successor and the title of "leader of ninshuu" because Ashura cared more about the people and friends while Indra cared only about power. Thats what started the feud.

Like Sasuke mock Naruto "You need Bijuus power to fight with me" thats what I think Indra would say to Ashura

Indra: You need our father power to be able to fight with me that not get any power from father.

Think of it like that.

Oh, well then its probably because since Ashura didn't care about power in the first place he didn't train much allowing Indra to surpass him in power, but when Hagoromo gave Ashura his power it made Ashura on par with Indra. Either that or its a plot hole, i mean lets say if before Ashura got his daddy's power-up that he was around BSM/BM Naruto's level and Indra was EMS Sasuke level, then when he got the power-up that he was around RSM Naruto's level. It wouldn't make sense, its like saying EMS Sasuke is on par with RSM Naruto while Rinnegan Sasuke w/ bijuu (much much stronger than EMS Sasuke) tied with RSM.

The only power up Ashura got were the leadership position of Ninshuu and Hago's seals and they don't do anything besides CT and extra Senjutsu. The chakra cloak, TSB and healing were Ashura's own powers.
