I'm not saying I'm right and you're all wrong, it's just my head-canon, tt's how I percieved it reading the manga and in the anime *shrug*. I don't have (or plan to) have evidence to argue either way.

Sort of true, although stamina and chakra are very related to each other since stamina represents the physical energy aspect of chakra, which is both made of physical energy (stamina) and spiritual energy (most likely whatever the tree had).

He was handling Senjutsu chakra himself. Naruto's Chakra Control is far inferior to Sasuke's by canon manga. So yeah, he can waste chakra all he wants.

Yeah I know, was just addressing the first part of stamina not equaling chakra. It should be obvious that a healthy Itachi would be better than sick Itachi in practically every category Lol

And yet five year old Itachi could use it? Simple conclusion, Itachi does have a lot of chakra.

As the OP explained, there is a difference between stamina and chakra.

two things though:

1. I remember that fire ball was deemed impossible for sasuke only due to his age. i.e. his chakra pool at that age shouldn't have been enough for that jutsu. But for all we know chakra pool grows with time. Nonetheless Itachi still managed to produce a continuous fire ball that almost stalemated sasuke's CM enhanced version, which is pretty impressive.

2. When the shadow clone goes "poof", shouldn't the remaining chakra in that clone return to the original? or does that only apply when the original actively disperse the clone jutsu?

Only when the original cancels it. This Clone was destroyed.

There is no potency of chakra its just the amount you have and all uchiha chakra pools are higher than average
