Pope Francis was handed a vial of solid blood and when he kissed it, half of it turned liquid. Hence the half-miracle.

What do you guys think about this. I think it's funny as hell Lol

Don't ridicule peoples faith, even if you don't believe in it, to ridicule peoples faith because you don't believe makes you very intolerant

Miracles happen, people who believe that everything can be explained are just comforting themselves.

They briefly explain the science of why it changes, but I'd like to see the explanation broken down to a molecular level. What is the significance of kissing blood; something about St. Geronimo? I bet that fancy-pants blood container is worth more than my car.

I'm 100% certain that everything can potentially be explained scientifically. Whether we have discovered or understood everything is another animal. That doesn't change the fact that these things can and potentially will be explained scientifically. I actually lol'd at this post Lol.

I didn't mean to ridicule anyone's faith. I just thought it was hilarious that they're passing off an obvious 'magic' trick as a miracle.

LOL! Are you on drugs? Just because we as human beings can't explain everything that occurs in this universe as of now, does not mean that those things will never have a valid explanation in the future or cannot be explained. I could argue that those who try and explain away the things that are beyond their capacity of thought by believing in the existence of an "all-powerful God" or "inexplicable miracles" are the ones who are "comforting themselves".

I like science I do and I agree that many things can be explained and likely this can as well, however, in truth most science fact is actually science theory and the scientific fact can be as well argued as the supernatural fact, in truth what we understand in most cases we only think we understand and there could be another explanation for it. In the end, the truth is the explanation we choose to except, very little is proven, even scientifically, beyond doubt.

But I'm not here to get into an argument that has no end. If people wish to believe the scientific side of things or the supernatural side of things, that is up to them. In the end my point of view has always been, that if the scientific community believe that everything can be explained and no supernatural truth exists, then they are comforting themselves and if the supernatural community believes that every little thing is supernatural then they are lying to themselves. I have a firm belief that there is a happy medium, but thats my opinion, which isn't worth much

"I can't explain something? Must be God"

The logic is too strong. :bdpf:

I don't get how you can say some science is truth, but in that same sentence say it's not all true. If you were to say, "God gave man the ability to understand his universe" then I could leave the argument there. However when you say some science is right and other science is just people trying to comfort themselves because they can't find the answers in "God", that is ridiculous. My opinion though Lol.

I'd also like to say the absence of understanding is not "God" or a miracle. Otherwise Criss Angel would be Jesus.

I like that 'God gave us the ability to understand the universe' I think that is very true.

No, you misunderstand me. Science seems incapable of understanding the supernatural, the supernatural can be studied scientifically such as the study of ghosts. However, many scientists view science as the absence of the supernatural, not the pursuit of truth, these types of scientists are comforting themselves with arrogance that they understand everything, instead of studying it. Science for some is just the pursuit of disbelieving but there explanations are often just as unproved and just as theoretical.

God created us and I believe that he created us to discover and learn but many scientists don't want to learn, they just want to disprove when in fact there fact is a theory that has no more truth that that of belief

Theory will always be a stronger argument than a story. You believe in ghosts? Lol.

I've seen ghosts, heard them too and angels and a plethora of other spirits and theory that is science and theory that is belief are exactly the same, when neither can be proved both are on equal terms. I seem to be a rare breed that can see the science AND the supernatural and its a far less narrow place to be than most others who are trapped on either side.

Oh.

So you are of the belief that one day science could lead to a "God"?

No, people of faith are just comforting themselves. The pope is just a figurehead of one of the, if not the most influential corporation on earth. There is nothing holy about them. They're just high-ranking masons and pedophiles. Mocking a religion is not intolerent perse. Getting hostile because your faith is mocked is.

Religion has certain ideals at the heart of it that can be compared to dictatorship. The word 'holy' means: Here you have a notion you cannot say anything bad about. Why? Because you just cannot. It's a trick. Nothing admirable other than it's power to stupify sheeple.

I believe God leads us to science, that as you very eloquently put 'God gave us the ability to understand the universe'

And its nice to have this type of discussion with someone who doesn't insult me :) its also nice for someone to have a genuine opinion rather than just a life coloured opinion, even if they do think I'm a bit batty:)
