sasuke out shiend naruto when they were fighting madara and since the begining of the manga if kishi made sasuke out shine naruto again in the last fight i dont see the purpose of naruto being the MC. it was pure plot thing.

Third Raikage is intelligent type now ? His mind was suppressed by Kabuto. Although that was good of Naruto to think about Third Raikage's weakness but he was always outside of box thinker.

You can't deny the fact that sasuke knew he can't beat naruto full strength so he saved his strength let naruto tire himself and right after the fight with kaguya when he thought naruto was weakest enslaved the tail-beasts to increase his chance of victory.

most of what sasuke did in that fight was stand on look.

Simple. Naruto had nine little friends hanging out in his head that he could consult if he needed help, who knew their own powers perfectly. And Sasuke had no help since there was no one to consult about the deeper mysteries of the Rinnegan. It's like the difference between trying to figure out how to play a sport for the first time with no coach or teammates (Sasuke), and having a team of olympic coaches (Naruto and the Bijuu).

That's about the difference in their power. Naruto has help, Sasuke has to figure stuff out on his own. Kind of like a reversal from when they were younger.

Sasuke was unsuccessful in most of his ATTEMPTS to attack Kaguya. At times all he could do was spectate just like the other people there who didn't have the power or means to aid Naruto fight Kaguya. Sasuke was a excellent support though.

That was his ability with Sennin Sensory, not brain smarts. He didn't deducted things like Inoichi and Shikaku, he sensed his location via Chakra Rod.
