Well, evolution and design don't necessarily exclude each other. Anyway, evolution mostly deals with how already existing organisms evolved, but it can't tell how life started. I'm reading Darwin's Black Box by Michael Behe. He can be criticized on many grounds but some of his points are really intriguing.

There is not enough proof for a scientific theory which is supported by scientists/reasarchers of numerous disciplines but somehow the thousands year old boogeyman stories are true because there is nothing states otherwise.

And yes, Evolution is a prime example of a theory by scientific definition since the scientific form of a theory is entirely dependent on observations forming hypothesis' and that's the whole basis of evolution. Go educate yourself because you sound ignorant here.

Google some variation of these; The definition of Scientific Theory, the definition of Fact, the definition of Conjecture, the definition of Hypothesis, the definition of unsubstantiated hypothesis, and then, to top it off, google why you shouldn't throw around the word ignorant so much. o-o
