Damn, got moved to this section. Good luck getting any more attention for this thread lol.
I don't want to be "that" douche. But is this srs? Are there actually people that have a crush on someone on this site.... I know the average guy on this forum probably isn't the most popular guy at school but still this makes me ashamed to be on this site.
I have a friend on here, that met a girl here on NB (and who lives in my state) about a year and a half ago (though they only got serious about a year ago), he lives in Finland but came here twice for like a total of three months, and she's traveled there to visit him for like a month as well. In a few weeks I believe, he's going to be spending a year here with her. He's met her family, they've been to museums (I've seen it on their facebook profiles) together, and they're now planning a road trip.
@Bold, although you appear to be assuming
everyone here are teenagers, your implications aren't too far off. I wouldn't normally recommend two
teens to do this kind of thing. But the people I'm referring to are in their twenties, so two mature adults with the
means to see each other? They should be able to understand the risk so I don't see why not.
Moral of the story/TL;DR: There's no need to be ashamed. Wherever there is social networking, there's going to be common social behavior and endeavors. Since sociology is basically applied psychology, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to you or anyone else that interacts with humans on a normal basis.
