That was because of his DNA. The Byakugan was enhanced through it. Byakugan is weaker and can only evolve through Otsutski DNA, which is very rare.

So I'm saying that Tenseigan is equal to Rennigan, not that Toneri is equal to Madara. Toneri would probably be around or somewhat above Edo Nagato level, who needed to be taken down by 2 jinhcurikis and an MS user .

In an all out battle between Toneri and a healthy Nagato, a good handful of those would be irrelevant.

Limbo would easily be detected by the Byakugan. and it's been shown tha simply attacking the real one will make the limbo clones disappear.

Amenotejikara is a jutsu unique to Sasuke's Tomoe Rennigan lol

Ashura path creates Robotic body parts, right ? That's useful, but simply firepower can overcome it. Not to mention it's less durable, as shown when Naruto destroyed the Asura ptah very easily yet his Rasengan never pierced Deva path's flesh.

Meteor and CT get destroyed by the same way Toneri destroyed the moon. Shinra Tensei is countered by resisted the force with one's own speed.

Tenseigan has more than just splitting the moon
