Rap is turning into pure garbage, a lot of musicians are selling out with sugercoating piece of crap music, and there's barely any good music out there. It's just my opinion, but the 90s and early 2000s were the best music eras. I love all kinds of music, but today it sucks big time. I mean what happened? Voice your opinions. I would love to hear it.

This is good music to me:

Most genres in music do hit these bumps where artists will "sellout" and begin to sound the same as one another,
This is why I give you the advice of jumping genres and listening to ALL music rather than just sitting there complaining about one.

ie; Metalcore was sounding the same there for almost a year, I jumped to progressive metal and hip hop to cure my boredom.

I do. I love rock, metal, r&b, rap, country, chamber music, and orchestra.

He is talking about all music....At least I think he is XD

But this goes across the board of all genres not just rap. But it's a generational thing.

My parents think the music of the 90s early 2000's is all garbage and we don't know what good music is. Their parents said the same thing about their music, and we will say the same thing about out kids music and so on.

There are a few good ones out there from every genre, but the reason it seems like crap is because the music of today (OP) is not speaking to your generation but a younger one.

I'd say this generation has spit out a lot of bad apples but has also given the world a lot of good bands and artists.
It just takes a bit to dig through the pile.

Plenty of good music about if you know where to look. Hannah Wants is on another level, should check out that kind of music! Also Becky Hill has a great voice if you prefer stuff with vocals. Anything with a deep house kind of feel to it is ripe right about now, just search on youtube!

Any sub-genres or are you just sticking to those main genres?
Try Indie-Rock and Progressive Metal?
I love Indie too. I never listened to pro. Metal. Just thrash, death, metalcore, and melodic metal like Killswitch Engage, Straight Line Stitch, Hatebreed, Oceano, and Black Sabbath.

Try giving progressive a go, a lot of the bands tend to use a djent sound as well which might be annoying or it might be something new for you.
