For the revealing of an almighty god, the mother of both chakra and the sage of the six paths has really let me down. In my opinion, the fight against Madara was more prolonged and action filled, as to where the fight against Kaguya was less exciting and sort of an ass-pull to extend naruto's ending and bring Hagaromo into the situation. The was a build up to the climax of the fight against Madara, but Kaguya's appearance was random. In comparison to Naruto/Sasuke's brawl with Kaguya, Madara's fight with the two descendants seemed more thrilling and action filled, with several incredible power-ups, spine chilling situations and splendid jutsu; As to where Kaguya's display of power was nothing more than byakugan, some over-powered dimension shifting, and throwing a stick that killed Obito who was really starting to prove himself to be a cool guy. In the end, Kaguya's debut didn't really last much longer than some scenes and Juubi mutation thingie. This being my opinion, Madara was always originally the true antagonist of Naruto, and Kaguya was an unnecessary extension to the story that Masashi made up near the ending. Of course people may disagree because we're all entitled to a right to bare our own opinions, a right that cannot be revoked; this however was something on my mind and I'd love to see some comments on the topics. Thank you!

Kaguya was a disappointment yes, but we have to agree as BZ planned all this, she was the one rolling the dice all the time. We were just tricked into the illusion of Madara, as the one pulling the strings was BZ which would lead to Kaguya's arrival, and ultimately the creation of the Army for whatever reason.

I agree with OP. Madara's power was legendary - he was one of the two statues at the VoTE, so the readers knew about him for almost the entire story. Everyone was blown away when he was revived.

While Hagoromo was also hyped ahead of time, we didn't know about Kaguya until Naruto/Sasuke met the sage.

It seemed a bit forced, but it justified the movie and elevated the importance of the byakugan. It was well thought out only from a marketing perspective. But it didn't stop me from reading the manga :)

Ya man I agree with you. It was probably my least fav part of the war arc. That's coming from a naruto fan that usually defends and doesn't talk shit about it. It just felt really out of place and kaguya was a very big letdown as a villain. Kishi tried to improve her character and arc by making black zetsu act like her brains, which she herself were severely lacking at the time. Black zetsu kinda improved it for me and was a much better villain than kaguya. He actually owned even the great madara, and it was awesome to find out about his parts in shinobi history.

Meh, That would've been redundant if someone had to do what obito & madara did just to revive the juubi and stuff to resurrect kaguya.

Kaguya was created for the movie.

Some one comes up to Kishi while he was thinking how to end Madara and he tells
lets make a movie about pairing,we would make lot of profit
aand what should we put it in the movie?
How about some one kidnaps Hinata and Naruto saves him like a classic lovestory
Okay seems like a nice idea, lets create a villain,he would need a reason to kidnap hinata
and we also need put some of backstory relating to him in manga

Again this was Kaguya's purpose.
