They're not death because he didn't kill them.. They just vanished..Purgatory maybe?

How else would you deal with a true immortal? The demons were created to kill Zeref.. Mard holds no ill will towards him.. He's just following Zeref's wishes as will END when he arrives

Someone thought there would be a flashback? Memento Mori is reflecting on mortality or earthly ties.. Remembering death.. Maybe that will trigger Natsu if we're still assuming he's END and not just another demon..

Oh jellal and the rest of oracien that would be fitting as well. I feel like he only opened a portal and that this curse he thinks controls life and death is more of a transport to a gate way rather then what he expects. Why because the only known Mage to control life and death was zeref so having someone else with power equal in aspects makes no sense.

Wow! Really, really good to me! That Memento Mori though lol. Natsu and Gray's attacks were also pretty good. But damn Mard Geer is going all out. 5/5 Can't wait for next weeks chapter

Amazing chapter.Mard geer is hands down the best villain i've seen in fairy tail until now.To last this long against friendship power now thats some feat.

What were the differences in the picture in the start of the chapter for me:-
1.Mira's necklace
2.Length of third line in the note stuck behind her.
3.Food in the plate ahead.
4.Dot on Mira's hair
5.Probably elfman's stitches or shape of the handle of the beer mug kept in front of them or Lisanna's eyes.

The chapter was good, Mard Geer didn't underwhelm and curses are born of negative human emotions, so will Natsu and Grey come back with the power of friendship and the good memories of their guid or will Mavis play a part that remains to be seen.

Dat Mard Geer Doe Memento Mori was hell itself, though i think its just some teleportation magic, he maybe teleported those two to some wormhole or some Dimension of emptiness :| whodafq knows lol

Wow, I predicted something really bad would happen in this chapter and I was right. I don't think we've seen the last of Natsu and Gray though. What was Gray saying about The Future? Mard Geer is a beast.

Next chapter is called Quid pro quo ("something for something" in Latin), which means "an exchange of goods or services, where one transfer is contingent upon the other." What's with all those Latin titles lately?

yea. mard geers a bad ass. gray having a breath attack is kinda .. unfitting, feels forced. can understand why a dragon slayer would have it but god & devil slayers .. why? hoping mavis, gildarts, or jellal and co show up and finish the fight.

Great chapter, Mard Geer's Memento Mori looked epic but I doubt that ability can kill Zeref, he's able to eradicate all life around him without even trying.

First, as for the latin titles, probably because a lot of conventional forms of magic (in novels and films) involve latin incantations or names for spells owing to the fact that it is a very old language. The same could be said for greek, though it is used less often than latin in fiction. Example: Harry Potter. All of the spells there are latin in origin. Except misc spells like "Eat Slugs".

On the other hand...what...just...happened? They went and disappeared...and where did they go? Dimensional magic? Reverse summoning/conjuring magic? I'm gonna need some serious explaining from Mashima-Sensei.

Great chapter, natsu and gray were awesome, but not as awesome as mard geer

I give this chapter 1/5.

The action wasn't bad, but the characterization is just forced. I'm surprised that curses are negative emotions (sarcasm).

Can't understand how Natsu's magic can even come close to being effective against Mard, when it was not effective just 2 chapters ago and not just that, but it feels like Natsu's magic is even more effective than Gray's devil slaying magic.



Mard is powerful, but lame villain. Except for Kaguya (Naruto), or some of the Sternritters (Bleach), I can't think of lamest villian.
