Note: This is not a bash/insulting thread. No sarcasm or demeaning words have been used
Every permanent member of Team 7 has a back story. Sakura is a major character of of the manga, is not she
? Where is her backstory? In most manga, the importance of a character can sometimes be analyzed by their backstories. Here are the back stories of team 7 members
Sasuke: the most tragic past of any team 7 member. Witnessed his brother killing his own parents, and being forced to become an avenger. How can anybody blame sasuke for his actions after receiving such trauma? His crazyness is justified.
Naruto: abandoned, isolated and hated by the mass. Grew up causing mischief to gain attention from public. Doesnt even know why everybody hates him. Not as traumatizing past as sasuke, but horrible nevertheless
Kakashi: grew up in shame for having an irresponsible father who couldnt fulfil his mission. Saw one of his best friend die in front of his own eyes. Accidentally killed his female friend. Even so Kakahi's always cool as a cucumber
Even Hinata has a backstory (even though I shouldnt mention her here). Hinata was an underachiever, mocked by her clan for being incompetitive, even more so than her younger sister. She becomes inspired by naruto's struggle to becone strong herself.
Now for Sakura. Dies she even have a backstory? I am not looking for a tragic past. All we see get to see from her flashbacks is crying for sasuke.
How does not having a backstory make Sakura a normal girl and a relatable character? It just means her character has no depth or relevance to the plot. How can you build on a character who has no base?
