It also seems useless, what was the point of showing him? Then again, I'm not surprised. Sasuke has never actually gotten a good amount of screen time in the movies. part one "Clash in the land of snow " he did get some screentime but it was just part 1.
You should totally read Magi, it beat Naruto in selling this summer. Really good plot, characters, it's also funny as hell, it's comedy on par with one piece. It's the kind of manga that starts slow but once it's finished with intorducing characters it becomes beast. Damn the arc right now is so good, the fight is even better than Naruto vs Sasuke lol.

when they are exploring the ruins (the noon village) and naruto is checking a room with sakura and hears hinatas shriek from the other room and rushes to Hinata. she was just surprised at spider nets caught her hair. "Hinata is a bit of a scatterbrain to miss the cobweb nearby when she can see far away with byakugan. " naruto giggles and removes the web from hinatas hair. hinata blushes.
Then the mission becomes like a hot date for the 2.
in that small room in the the deserted house scene, Naruto and Hinata eat cup-ramens together. and Hinata rubs ointment onto Naruto's injured back.
Naruto confesses his love to Hinata but then Toneri shows up.
Hinata goes with Toneri without saying anything
Naruto chases them only to get pwnd hard.
in that big room in the deserted house Sakura treats him and comes down with fatigue. Naruto wakes up and gets sulky like "I don't care about hinata anymore!" (thinking she dumped him for toneri)
Shikamaru tells him off and sakura provides mental care to Naruto.
Sai asks shikamaru if it's not too much for Sakura to heal Naruto's heart not just wounds?
shikamaru asks Sai if he thinks he can do the job.
Actually Hinata was shown a vision (of Hamura?) by an old man from the main branch of the O’tsutuki clan and determined to stop Toneri’s wild ambition. that's why she comes with Toneri.
as a matter of course Toneri interprets it as a sign that she falls for him.
Toneri: would you knit a muffler for me?
And as Hinata says OK he is in bliss and enjoys a cup of tea while Hinata is knitting it.
then he finds out the muffler is still (filled with her love) for Naruto and tears it up in a jealous fit .
later on (perhaps after the fight?)
Naruto asks if he can have the shattered muffler. "I really want to have it!"

Anyhow desperate Toneri casts genjyutu on hinata to make her marry him.
He puts some round stuff (a cookie?)in his mouth and tries to make hinata eat it.
there Naruto cuts in. "Give Hinata back to me!"

in a warm house hinata with a bit shorter hair is knitting something
Naruto is practicing martial art or something on the terrace.
Bolto and Himawari run up to naruto.
"dad, play with us ttebasa!" bolto asks
Hinata: hey you 2, you shouldn't go outside barefoot!
Naruto: ok, how about a snowball fight?
Hinata: Right, mama(=Hinata herself)'s gonna join it too.
Naruto: be warned kids. Mum is mad mighty when she snaps in it!

Rinne festival is like obon festival.
19 yr old Naruto is a chick magnet, receives so many gifts from girls.
But he looks up at the moon alone from his dark room with the pile of unopened gifts.
Meanwhile Konohamaru finds the green(/blue?) muffler Kushina knitted for Naruto before her death in Hiruzen's storehouse. Naruto feels so warm to wear it.
Sakura ships naruhina all the way. She encourages Hinata to give the red muffler to Naruto.
But then Hinata sees Naruto in the green muffler and mistakes it for a present from some pretty girl. She starts to shun Naruto.
Even when Naruto asks Hinata about the muffler she won't answer.
She cries in a park. She drops tears on the muffler. Then Toneri appears
Toneri: lady, the muffler will be spotted?
Hinata: doesn't matter anymore. cos its useless now.
Toneri: in that case, can I have it?
Naruto although having worn kishina's muffler,
as soon as he learns that hinata is knitting a muffler for him, he stops wearing it.
when Hinata asks Naruto why he doesnt wear the muffler, Naruto says because this place is warm enough and then sneezes.
Naruto: when looking at Hinata I feel a tightening in my chest tebayo!
Sakura: that's what Love does.
Sakura: you liked me just because I liked Sasuke-kun, didn't u?
naruto:.....
sakura: But when about Hinata you're dead serious, huh?
Hinata: Now I get back hanabis eyes from you.!
Toneri: naa! Don't!
Naruto: Hinata, you know, in that class to write down the ones we'd like to be with if the world was to end tomorrow, I couldn't write anyone cos I didn't know mum or dad...and I didn't have any friends back then....but now I can say this clearly that I want to be with Hinata for years to come till I die!
Toneri tries to kill himself and gets TNJed by Naruto
Hinata tells him to come to the earth and toneri says he'll stay on the moon and the moon wont make an abnormal approach to the earth.
You haven't seen the movie. And what's abnormal about their behavior? In this movie it's pretty much hit Naruto that Sakura will never return his feelings.
Wasn't he upset that Toneri took her from him? Naruto getting upset and feeling jealousy over it should be expected. And Sakura pretty much explains to Naruto what those feelings mean and lectures him.
I'm busy so this is about half of what i'm going to really try to discuss with you.
No i have not. I can base my opinions on spoilers. I am not talking about his feelings with Sakura.
The fact that Naruto, who does not give up on war makers and mass murderers not caring about Hinata anymore because he thought she ran away with Toneri does not fit in his character. And the sense of being "oblivious" makes hints of NH like Hinata's confession meaningless. It is like the pairing did not get much of background so they are making sorts of romance moments to fill the movie with fanservice.
Fine by me. I am not in mood for discussing this anyway, they are spoilers so they might not even be correct.

Question-Do you think Naruto was already falling or had fallen in love with Hinata before the movie? or all his feelings developed in the movie?
Answer-honestly for me, I always thought Naruto had not loved Hinata before the movie but after watching it, it had led me to think otherwise. Not sure though if it was just me or the others who watched it felt the same way too.
Question-But there was at least one fight, right? Was it good?
Answer-it’s really not action packed but it’s okay.
Question-how was Naruto's confession?. Emotional? Romantic? Touching? did you liked it?
Answer-all of the above. even though I’m a guy I wouldn’t say I was not emotional when I saw it.
