Sort of. He was given some random disease, and arguably his best genjutsu could be broken by his brother (like why/how). Not to mention Totsuka and Yata practically make Itachi invincible. For some other odd reason Itachi didn't have/was shown withPS yet Kakashi/obito popped a PS out in no time.

Kabuto blinded him and he required Sasuke's help to buy enough time to cast Izanami, which took one of his eyes anyway.

The disease was implied to be brought about by the mangekyou, since Madara became sick as well.

Itachi could not fly, Pein could. The rinnegan is two evolutions above the base mangekyou. Pein's deva path would have bound and or crushed the susano'o and the mystic weapons. The totsuka blade isn't as invincible as you believe. The gourd that makes up it's handle and hilt is composed of matter. Furthermore, the sword itself is composed of energy, most likely chakra since it's a shinobi weapon. The Rinnegan possesses the same properties of the byakugan and can see chakra networks so it can probably see through most genjutsu. Then of course there's the gedo mazou, powered by Hashirama's clone and several bijuus. The nine shadow dragons composed of ethereal energy themselves and able to barrage and absorb people's souls, not to mention its countless gedo rods with the same ability. Asura path possessed particle weapons, there's all the sannin level Rinne animals, etc etc.

Obito had mastery over Kamui and could phase through things as well as suck people into Kamui. Being that Obito could control Kurama and Yagura and his bijuu, I'd say he could probably contend with Tsukuyomi just with his base genjutsu as Sasuke could just with his base sharingan.

I still can't believe people think that shield and sword Itachi has are the most powerful items in the universe. Naruto has a terrible history of hyping up "weapons". I sincerely doubt Itachi would be able to straight up battle the entire Akatsuki in a single go. Maybe one on one confrontations he has a good chance of winning. But all of them?

No he couldn't have taken out Akatsuki easily, Zetsu was always watching everyone and reporting to Nagato and Obito so if Itachi tried to kill Kisame then he will be hunted down by Akatsuki and killed. He can used 4 MS jutsus and each ghost a lot of chakra and cause him pain and that hesitation can cost him.

And Kabuto could have just ended Edo Tensei to neg Edo Itachi but plot deem he didn't. Kabuto only forced his way in the war to get Sasuke and Sasuke was right infront of him so he could have easily coffin Edo Madara, Edo Kimimaru, and Edo Chiyo then end Edo Tensei and at the start of the fight Kabuto was dodging all Attacks with his sensory ability so no it wouldn't have ended the moment Itachi got there. Itachi isn't beating Edo Madara and Edo Kimimaru and Edi Chiyo team won't be that easy either. Edo Itachi would use up all his chakra before being able to seal Madara or Kimimaru team who have Chiyo who can control bodies and Kimimaru can make bones come out from right under you and all over the battlefield as he did against Gaara then move inside them. Edo Itachi have less chakra than alive Itachi and it doesn't instantly refill as it took Edo Minato time to replenish his chakra.

His other weakness being his MS which cost a lot of chakra per jutsu, caused him to go blind the moment he awakened MS and makes him blind faster when he uses MS jutsus (as Sasuke did), cause him physical pain after using MS jutsus (Susanoo takes both eyes and does more pain as it aches every cell in the body as Sasuke put it).

Madara was nerfed more after he became Juubi Jin lol they took away his Susanoo which he used pre-JJ with 1 eye, no wood clones, no wood jutsus, no katon jutsus, no Rinnegan jutsus such as Deva path, Asura path, Animal path, or Pretha path, had 5 of his TSBs FTG to Konoha. Naruto was nerfed a lot as well but the Madara thing was annoying since why give him the Juubi then not make him use jutsus he shown to use?
