You gotta admit that without the Kaguya arc Obito would not have properly been able to redeem himself for all the bad things he's done. The Infinite Tsukuyomi was going to turn everyone on the planet into White Zetsu, and Obito helped prevent that by saving Sasuke and dying for Naruto. In my opinion, that is a MUCH better redemption for Obito's character than to simply use Rinne Tensei on all the fodder shinobi in chapter 656. Kishi even knows that many readers were disappointed with how Nagato revived everyone, so you should be glad that Obito didn't "redeem" himself in such a lame way.

yea, i'm definitely happy with the way he went out, and yea, Kaguya was irrlevent, but she did give Obito the chance to redeem himself and that's a plus for me.
