I understand that he has boil release/lava release/magnet release as Kekkei Genkai thanks to the tailed beasts but wood?

The Wikia highlights all usable abilities that a character has. Rikudou no Jutsu is part and parcel of the Rinnegan and Obito's already shown the ability to use Outer Path.
