I agree that Itachi is properly amoung the 3 smartest in NV.

The only way itachi can kill tobirama is usin genjutsu or Tsukuyomi which cannot be countered..otherwise tobirama is too fast to itachi..flying raijin > sharingan counter

But on the other hand itachi is also a genius and is good in taijutsu and other moves

Tobirama takes it, he's well aware of the main problem with uchihas, which is genjutsu and he had several techs that can guarantee that he never makes eye contact, while staying on the offensive, not to mention he has edo tensei and tags that explode for extended periods. He seems to have a good amount of chakra also.

All he has to do is wait him out, he could simply call up some random Edo fodders and have them distract Itachi with infinity exploding tags, itachi can't use ms non stop or he goes blind, not to mention those techs consume a lot of chakra and stamina. You don't want to run out of chakra against a senju like Tobirama.

Someone mentioned ftg'ing Yata away. Teleportation and excellent sensing helps him avoid Totsuka.

No he is not, but Itachi have a low chakra reserves, and Tobirama have quite a big one, that means itachi need to win fast since he will be depleted faster than his opponent + could get strain on the eyes thats really not good since u need clear vision + reaction time against someone like Tobirama :snick:

Probably the perfect match up in which either one could win, quite literally. However, experience of fighting uchihas give tobirama the edge. But since this is itachi, he'd be analytical in his approach, and not attack him impulsively like sasuke would. That's important in fighting someone with great reflexes and speed, as we all saw how tobirama countered juubito's blitz with paper bomb attacks. If there is no knowledge before hand i'd give it to tobirama, with info itachi has better odds.

He's draining his meager chakra reserves heavily the moment he activates ms. He already confirmed that just using susanoo with ms instead of ems is extremely painful. Tobirama invented shadow clones, edo tensei, and ftg. He can fight Itachi while keeping himself out of danger. Also Tobirama was known as the fastest shinobi if his time, between his superior sensing skills and ftg be will have no trouble avoiding Itachi, and he even can let shadow clones and edo's do most of his fighting. Tobirama takes this more often than not, his skill set is basically made to do the most damage possible while having very little risk to the user.
