[Discussion] So I finally watched Battle of the Gods

It was great! I had to wait for the English dubbed version.

It opened up a whole new chapter for DBZ like the gods and stuff and there being 7 universes where people are stronger than Beris. Even Whis is stronger than Beerus which was crazy to hear.

I guess it only makes sense to bring in these super OP characters after such a long time. DBZ had such a high power scale already so it could only go up from there.

The only thing I didnt like was destroying certain great characters, like shenron being flustered from Beerus, I was like really, you are Shenron, you could make Beerus dead if someone wished it. Same with Vegeta but he made up for it with his out burst, which was awesome 'My Bulma'. Also Gotenks not going SSJ3 and impressing Beerus but whatever.

My favorite part was when Goku's god power runs out and they fly up into space, that song (Anyone know what its called?) fit in perfectly.

GT isnt canon but how do you think SSJ4 Goku would have done against Beerus?

It was a good movie. I disagree on the Shenron killing Beeru, if you remember way back in the Saiyan saga, it was stated Shenron couldn't kill anyone that was stronger than his creator.

Also Beerus would have owned SSJ4 Goku, but SSJ4 Gogeta would have wrecked Beerus.

I didn't like the movie at all. It had too much weird comedy in it.

It was a good movie. I disagree on the Shenron killing Beeru, if you remember way back in the Saiyan saga, it was stated Shenron couldn't kill anyone that was stronger than his creator.

Thanks Man. No Whis states Beerus only had use 70% to deal with God Goku, so Beerus is still stronger by a lot.

That's good you liked it, but I didn't. I mean Bills wanting to destroy earth over some dessert threw me off and other things as well. Movie wasn't for me basically.

SSJ God has no multiplier confirmed, there's many speculations and we don't know if it's below or above SSJ4 Goku. I don't think the gap would be that big, so SSJ4 would probably fight on par or lose at best against Bills.

True but the serious moments totally make up for it IMO.

They had very little serious moments in it. I did not really like the whole reason of Beerus to fighting. I also dislike how they ruined the image of SS3 in this movie. He looked to be as bad as Krillen. I mean I know it was to show how Beerus is stronger. But ending the whole fight with one karate chop? Come on!

The only moment I really liked was Vegeta's Bulma moment. I just think if the story was done right. It could have been way better. I want a serious DBZ movie. Not a joke one.

I still haven't watched it in english dub, only japanese sub so i plan to watch it in english dub. Now you understand slightly how powerful Lord Beerus is when you said it's crazy to hear that Whis is stronger than him. I still don't believe it because he defeated a PRIME SSJ3 Goku in 2 hits. That's beyond inconceivable. It's just people don't realise how amazingly impressive that feat is. They wouldn't say that another DBZ character is stronger that him if their comprehension of the feat was correct. If the Kai's (creators of the universes) wet their pants in front of Lord Beerus then it's logical that Shenron was flustered by him. Demon King Piccolo destroyed Shenron and compare his strength to Lord Beerus's lel. So he's certainly not a destroyed character. I wanted Gotenks to go SSJ3 as well but it would be pointless because the outcome would still be the same. My favourite scene was when Goku and Lord Beerus fought in the clouds, that was epic. The song is called Hero. SSJ4 against Lord Beerus? The same outcome would happen when SSJ3 Goku was effortlessly stopped.
