Chidori has never done anything but pierce and has never caused a knockback effect. Looked to me like he just jumped to dodge it hence why he was in control through the air and landed on his feet in the water.


Show me a scan where chidori creates a knockback effect similar to what we observed? Better still show me any makings on naruto that would actually indicate that the chidori pierced naruto? He sensed sauce and jumped to avoid the strike, exactly like kaguya did over and over.

If Naruto jumped he wouldn't have hit the water as hard as he did. Plus, he would landed on his feet. With enough mobility to dodge Sasuke's Susano'o arrows by feet instead using the Truth Seeker Orbs. You see in this scan, Naruto is still trying to gain his balance.

Rikudou Madara doesn't have a "cloak" like BM Naruto has (Bijuu chakra cloak). That explains why he was sliced: he lacked the protection that current Naruto has.

JJ Madara's protection was bulky though. When Naruto's lava rasengan cut down the god tree( which tanked four juubi bombs) it was unable to cut Madara in half. And that was before he absorbed the tree
