Also, to add onto Sarahmint's comment, he also left open Orochimaru's past, the fate of the Zetsus, why Kaguya needed an army in the first place, a confirmation of Hamura's ultimate fate, why Obito ever needed to control Kiri in the first place, why the Uzumaki clan was destroyed, how Hashirama died, why TenTen received the tools of Hagoromo in the first place, on top of numerous lesser things, including the purpose and results of all three shinobi world wars, the feats and deeds of most of the Kage before the recent generation, the fate of the Hagomo clan, what Madara's other siblings looked like, how Hashirama met Mito, and what their children looked like, why there are no living Senju left in Konoha (were they annihilated, or assimulated into the other clans of Konoha), Asuma's brother, the origins of the other villages, and so on and so forth. Really, I'm not expecting any of this to ever be discussed.
