Sasuke Actually Wants To Die

What if he isn't just being purely psychotic his time around and genuinely wants to die? Unlike the Valley Pf The End battle, he doesn't look very determined, and unlike the Gokage Summit Fight he doesn't look completely insane, if anything, he almost looked remorseful, in this chapter and the last.

Here he doesn't even really look either insane nor angry, if anything he looked determined, and, in my eyes, depressed about what he intends to do. Now, I'm not saying he doesn't intend to kill the Gokage, I'd imagine he probably intends to, but I don't think he really wants to fight Naruto, perhaps, like Itachi, he wants to die by his hands. Personally, I think, deep, deep, down he does care for Naruto, for remaining his friend no matter whatever awful things he did, your thoughts?

I don't think he necessarily wants to fight, but he certainly doesn't intend to die either. He believes he's right and he knows he has to go through Naruto in order to prove so. He's gonna go all out in this fight, so no I highly doubt he wants to die.

I agree with OP and I have been saying this would be Sasuke's last chance at any form of redemption since the chapter came out. It would be like a nod from Sasuke and Kishi that him coming back to Konoha just wouldn't be right. If Sasuke's character were handled differently than maybe there would still be a place for him. That's not the case though, he has to die.
