It makes perfect sense when you think about it, Sasuke revealed in the latest chapter that this whole time he was waiting for all the threats to his Revolution to be eliminated. Madara, Kaguya, Obito, Black Zetsu, the edo Kage, and double kamui Kakashi mainly and now Naruto is the only one left. During the fight with Kaguya, Sasuke stated that he or Naruto couldn't die because they had to seal her, so he cooperated, but in the back of his mind he knew his true goal was to take out Naruto. Sasuke did next to nothing against Kaguya because he was preserving chakra and letting Naruto do most of the fighting. Sasuke's not dumb he realized early on that his rinnegan eye and Kaguya's would simply cancel eachother out, so Naruto was better suited to fight her. Now that Kaguya has been sealed and the other threats removed, Sasuke is relatively fresh while Naruto has exhausted most of his chakra and the bijuu are locked away in Chibaku Tensei so they can't leech him more. I personally would like them not to fight now, because logically Sasuke would win easily at this point. I want them both at their best.

And Naruto knew Sasuke's negative feelings from the start because of his Tailed Beast Mode (Kurama has this ability), that's why Naruto wasn't surprised at all when Sasuke said that he's going to kill the 5Kage.

Sasuke knew pure strength won't do anything and will be ineffective no matter how strong you are, since she can regenerate any damage you give her, he knew the only way to defeat her was by sealing her, saving chakra since its not needed U_U

Plus the only person who could really damage her was Naruto since he has senjutsu (nature energy), it would be harder to detect compared to Sasuke's

Sasuke even confirmed this last chapter, while they were fighting he was getting used to the rinnegan, the only rinnegan ability he used in the battle was S/T, the rest he managed to train it somehow

OT: You forget that the Ashura quality is vitality, so he is naturally preserved to last. If Sasuke used as much effort as Naruto during the Kaguya battle & even Madara battle, he definitely would have tired out. Hagoromo didn't mention the Bijuus meeting up in Naruto's psyche for no reason. That will play an important role in the upcoming chapters for the bijuus

I like how you fail to mention, Madara nearly killed Naruto also... lol but I'm the fanboy right??? And I believe what you meant to say is Sasuke will be Naruto's toughest opponent, Sasuke has no problems killing Naruto, do you think Naruto feels the same way? Sealing Kaguya's was the reason he chose to cooperate, not hold back. So yeah, you're right.

Perfect Susanoo is a Ems technique, clearly not his strongest tech to anyone with a few brain cells, and he used it mostly for defense the same way naruto used his chakra cloak in the same way
