Its late and I don't want to dig for scans, so Im just going to give you all the outline of what my point here is:
Basically Im left wondering what the hell the logical conclusion to this fight [Naruto vs Sasuke] and this series is going to be. Hear me out on this now, bear with me;
-So Naruto and Sasuke are fighting under two circumstances: the first being that they have differing believes on how to unite the world going forward, and the second being that its their destiny to clash due to Indra and Ashura.
-Indra and Ashura have been passing on the torch to their reincarnations since they started fighting [over power]. Killing the reincarnation doesnt end the cyle, as a new incarnation will be born.
The fact that the cycle hasn't been successfully been broken yet begs the question: how do you break the endless chain of Indra and Ashura fighting? Fighting doesnt solve anything, as the next generation will follow. Words won't solve it, as the two are destined to fight. Even if Naruto and Sasuke BOTH died, the next two would be soon born and all this would start anew.
So whats the logical endgame to this fight? Obviously Talk no Jutsu of some sort on Sasuke. Sasuke will agree on his own terms to end the IT with Naruto, as both parties are needed to do so. If Sasuke is FORCED or is KILLED then this is all meaningless as the chain of fighting continues with Indra's next incarnation. Both Naruto and Sasuke need to make peace with each other completely. THUS the LOGICAL end to this fight and series is just that.
BUT WAIT!
Now we're forgetting about the movie. Naruto The Last, which confirms a few things already due to HORRIBLE marketing timing: It takes place AFTER the war. Naruto survives. IT is undone. Sasuke is yet to be seen. Now, keep in mind, this may be the "conclusion" to Naruto, but it isn't the conclusion to the manga if that makes sense. The manga CANNOT end on a cliffhanger telling it's audience to wait for the movie. The manga will have a CLEAR resolution, and the movie will simply continue the story with a timeskip. THAT BEING SAID it still doesnt change what I said above: Naruto and Sasuke must make peace with each other in order for the chain to be broken. By the looks of the movie so far it seems thats what ends up happening SO WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE MOVIE THEN? By that logic there should be no villain, no struggle, no war, only peace. Unless this movie is JUST LIKE THE OTHERS where its Naruto out on a mission to save a princess or something, ANYTHING REVOLVING AROUND SASUKE OR OTHER VILLAINS TIED TO THE WAR would completely contradict the Indra/Ashura problem.
This is a lot to take in, but if anyone understands my point here, then don't you think that Kishi wrote himself into a wall again by introducing the concept of the reincarnations?
