Yeah, that's true. The Power scaling in the series became so ridiculous by the Buu Saga

Most of us felt the same way about this last few arch (basically the since the last war started) as we did with the Majin buu saga: Time for it to end.

Really there was no where else for it to go, and when GT came out we were all a little disappointed. Many of us did not watch it.

It would become less popular in general but I would still watch it. ..Depending on who wrote the story of course!
It's not like they have a monopoly on the target audience like Pokémon has on theirs for example (including Nintendo games and stuff like that). DB and DBZ are trendsetters but there's a lot of competition now and ..well, we all know there's an army of anime hipsters hating on anything "mainstream".

SSJ4 was badass, Red Kamehameha, SSJ4 Gogeta, Dragon Fist. I did watch it like 10 years ago when I was a kid though so maybe my opinion would differ now though lol.
