Really? His pranks and the relentlessly petty efforts that people should see him screams otherwise. If peer approval is the THING on NB, then I pity every Naruto fan for their lackluster and horrendous choice in characters.

I don't care who has read what. Since you haven't even read tragedies, how can you venture he isn't? How many people here have read Literature Criticism? How many have actually read Ezra Pound or Samuel Johnson or Alexander Pope etc criticism? One needs knowledge to decipher characters and stories.

It's just that simple.
again im talking about shippuden. notice the "(shippuden)".

in shippuden naruto became wiser and noticed the things going on in the world. he then changed his goal to changing the world be getting rid of hatred. again that has nothing to do with his social status

Tbh, I think you just look at him in a deeper way than even Kishi himself. Which actually is a good thing, but it really isn't that hard to break his character down and analyze him. You can find a Sasuke in many different manga.

Simply untrue.

The false virtue and dissimulation of Sasuke's character undermine everything he's supposed to represent. He's supposedly the gray character, but he's as black/white as they come. None of his turns are believable, he's used a crude plot device, and absolutely 0 of his development he can attribute to his own actions and morality. He will NEVER be on par in literary greatness as Kakashi. And that's simply how it is.

the dynamism of his character is what really sets him apart from others. hes been through the good side of life, then hes also walked the other side, each time making decisions from a set of facts before him. doing what it takes to achieve his goals, from wanting to kill his brother to wanting to destroy the village to now wanting to protect it lest his brother and his clans sacrifice not be in vain. theres no contest, sasuke is far better character imo. i just find narutos whole character boring, and stale but thats just me.

He was hated in the village, why wouldn't he be screaming? Not being acknowledged by anybody can be a horrible feeling. I just don't see why you choose to see Naruto so simply yet think one "needs to read Aristotle's Poetics" in order to understand Sasuke.

I guess you're right, still the way he changed his views on Itachi so quickly, and drastically. Also, making his goal to kill Itachi was pretty quick as well.
Well, there wasn't enough time in the plot. In other anime, normally a character would wander off after killing Danzo and hate himself for a while and probably wish death upon him-selves. Then find a reason to live or move on. But this is the only anime that didn't use that route. Sasuke emotionally damage big time, he didn't even have time to sleep on it or sleep crying about anything. He just went straight to the battlefield after talking to the kages.

So after this war is over, Sasuke better be broken or something. He need to fill up several bucket with tears for a bit before moving on.

Kakashi? Who is Kakashi? You mean that fella that hides behind his mask and feels sorry for himself because he couldn't protect anything in his life?

Here's why I disagree:

Everytime something drastic happened, his personality completely changed and it was almost as if all the development he had prior was completely reset and he became a new character.

i.e: when he left the village, when he learned the truth about Itachi, when he talked to the dead Kage
1. When he left the village he had to abandon all the things he loved and turn a cold shoulder
2. Why should he stay on the same path if what he learns completely changes his perspective
3. and same

Would you mind elaborating?

At the second point, in reality his perspective wouldn't change that easily. Especially Sasuke's, since he was so fixated on killing Itachi.

How does that make him a bad character?
It doesn't. Read my words. I never claimed that he was a bad character, but implying that he's a better developed character than Sasuke is totally wrong. Kakashi has been static the entire manga ever since he was younger and was arrogant and even that was boring. Hell, if you're going to compare someone to Sasuke then use Gaara or Itachi. Kakashi is about as bland as an egg. Nothing complex about him.

What has changed in part II?

Doubt it. Sasuke's intricacy is easy to spot.

I can see why you think that way about him (I used to think the same) but I have to disagree.

Kakashi is well-written? Joke of the century.
