All the tech he put into the clima tact and the perfect clima, the technology he puts in his own weapons are pathetic

Two Frying pans attached to a stick?! Really!?... Even his sling shot upgrade lacks anyreal damage without its pop greens...

I guess my bigest complaint against the Charateer of Ussop is for a guy who gets in close range fights all the time and is a brillaint inventor all he could come up with for close range combat is a two frying pans a stick and a balloon.
Its in consistances in character...

Ussop is a coward, the Ussop 10 ton hammer reflects that because he scares his opponents unconscious by making them think it is really 10 ton so that he wont have to use strength to beat them.

Impact dials or like rocket propulsion would make it really feel like a ten pound hammer but no... he just went with a balloon...

that was his first invention of him and it was for comedy purpose , how can't u understand something so simple?
His first shown invention was the clima tact... The climatact is great. Him going from climatact to comdic balloon is backtracting as a character how cant you understand something so simple.

That frying pan was a bit ingenious, because it was litterately something he made up in the spur of a moment, and build in like ten seconds while Ms. Merry Christmas looked the other way.

Also it was all the way back in Alabasta, before dials, before Kabuto, before Clima tech.. it was in the beginning.

But it also really showcases Usopp's ability to come up with quick unique solutions in the spur of the moment, like when he threw an alcohold bottle at Kissu, then broke it and lightened it up in flames, quick thinking!

Wrapping wax Luffy, Zorro and Sanji in a robe he soaked in oil and then lith at flame so they would melt, quick thinking!

Using pebber to momentarily blind the enemy and rotten eggs to distract them... not very high tech no, but hey, if it works! And it does.

The thing about Usopp though is also kind of, unlike Franky, he never had anybody telling him how to build things or do things correctly, so really.. he is just guessing himself the way through, which sometimes ends up in some extremely unique contraptions because well.. he had no rules to go from at the get go anyways.

Also remember about the clima tact, which is a pretty funny thing... Usopp never ever intended for it to be used the way Nami used it! Yeah the original clima tact could make cold balls and heat balls.. what ever use they would be in the hand of another, and there was a tiny sprinkler system in it to.. make the enemy slip?
It was how-ever, Nami herself whom could use her knowledge of weather to turn the clima tact into a different weapon and use it in this new unique way Usopp had never even thought of.

Hehe, I think we often forget just how low tech the first clima tact was, just try and rewatch Namis Alabasta battle, it's kind of pathetic.

And then after they found out what Nami would be using and not, Usopp could take out all the useless features to boost the cold balls and heat balls that Nami actually uses to create weather phenomenas.

You don't need to act like that.
As it just happens.. I relate to this character in particular, a lot of the things he has gone through and his ways to cope has been oddly similar to my own life journey.

He fills up a lot of character tropes that by default always has been my favourite things like.
He's an inventor and gadget builder, I LOVE gadget builders.
He's a true story teller, I love that character type, it's my favourite character type of all time.

And then of course, that the emotions he has gone through are so relatable to me.

In my eyes, he represents both the best and the worst in all ordinary human beings.
And he becomes so inspirational because he overcomes the worst within himself to become the best, in spite of feelings of self doubt, in spite of self loathing, anger, fear and anger.

When every thing becomes really hard for me, and I barely think I can go on, I take a glance at that sogeking statue on my work desk and try to collect some courage.

It's a character that means something to me.

My bad... In my defense I was just joking...

Him and Franky could really go places.
Imagine the sh*t that would be invented if both of them worked on it.
Franky's Skills + Usopps Factory... Would be the greatest thing ever...
The least impressive thing I can think of would be a Small Dial powered helping assistant battle robot
and when they are together the most impressive thing I could think of is them Tricking out the sunny to turn into a battle robot and using franky's underground connections to get/Steal a zoan fruit and make the Sunny a living Giant battling robot Zoan lion That is like if the maxuim Battle franky climatact and Lasso (Mr. 4's gun) had a baby and that mother hugger was awesome.. Ahhhhh It would be beautiful...

Aren't Franky and Usopp already working together?

I was left to think that Usopp right now, basically function like Frankys assistant in maintaining ship and inventing stuff, so really.. that makes Franky Usopp's mentor at this very moment.
Which is really bloody cool if you think about it, Usopp could not ask for a better mentor, could he.

That's one of the reasons why I am so sad he went away from building gadgets himself to make those pop green things... It's just cooler to me when people build their own gadgets.
I see the point, having two inventors on the ship does make one seem surpeflous, and Franky is the mega update to Usopp, so it was probably a way to make Usopp different from Franky somehow, so he wouldn't just stand around in the shadow of Franky, being able to do things that will indeed, be his own unique thing.
But still kind of a shame... I would kind of like to see a real mentor scene of Franky learning Usopp some trate secrets, or Usopp go.
"Yes I know how to do that, Franky showed me."

Why wouldn't Franky teach Usopp how to make cola engines function or maintain robots or how to maintain a ship probably? It's in his own best interest that Usopp learns, and I am pretty sure that Usopp is more than willing to learn from Franky, he has a natural nack for those things allready doesn't he.
Would be cool to actually see that aspect a little bit more.

I am telling you oda said no cause they would have built a robot helper to protect usopp...

Thats why I just want them to build a robot helper to protect usopp that flys around with him.
