The Background (as taken from the bio rules):
Zetsu (ゼツ, Zetsu) is a member of Akatsuki and one of Obito Uchiha's most loyal subordinates. The black half is known as Black Zetsu (黒ゼツ, Kuro-Zetsu), while the white half was known as White Zetsu (白ゼツ, Shiro-Zetsu). White Zetsu, along with his many clone siblings, was created by Madara Uchiha using a living clone of Hashirama Senju and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. Madara implied that Yin–Yang Release was also involved in the creation of White Zetsu and his clone siblings. When Madara was on the verge of death, he infused a part of his will into White Zetsu, which created the second personality, Black Zetsu. This in turn made the complete Zetsu partially a clone of Madara, albeit weaker and partially a clone of Hashirama. With the creation of Black Zetsu from White Zetsu, Zetsu as he was afterwards known was created. Originally nothing but an imperfect clone of Hashirama’s cells, with the creation of his black half, Zetsu became a fully fledged ninja and served as Obito’s right hand inside Akatsuki up to the great war. Tasked with inteligence gathering and scouting, Zetsu became a crucial part of Obito’s strategy.

He can merge with the ground and organic vegetal life and move within it at great speeds virtually undetected. Black Zetsu is also skilled chakra sensor. He can split himself in his two independent personalities, forming each a fully functional ninja. Both halfs also displayed the ability to use a rudimentary form of low rank Wood Release (up to A-Rank). In his case, this rudimentary form manifests itself through roots that he can create from the ground to attack his enemies. He lacks however, the ability to use normal wood techniques and can only use the root variation known to him. Two important abilities Zetsu uses are his cloning abilities and his spore abilities. He can create spores of himself who can lay dormant, leeched onto a ninja. Well, Zetsu is that black and white guy in my avatar (not being racist
). He was created from the cells of Hashirama and hence can use the rudimentary form of wood jutsu. Black Zetsu was created from the will of Madara himself.

It is also shown that when apart, they can communicate with each other or his clones telepathically. This feature can better be utilized in the ninja world, to relay information to different places.

These can be used to leech chakra from the ninja and create Zetsu clones who can be used to attack but also to give said chakra to the user/allies. He can also leech chakra with direct contact with the opponent. But recently it was revealed that Black Zetsu was actually created by Princess Kaguya and that his purpose was to bring her back to power.

Although it was noted that Byakugan users can still spot the user. If an underground technique of higher rank is used, its possible to stop the user or force him to surface.

restricting their movement and absorbing their chakra as they grow. Through this technique, the user is able to create up to 4 clones. The clones can then be used for the clone body substitution technique or for simply combat.
Parasitic Cloning/Substitute technique: This ability goes hand in hand with the Spore ability. The cloning abilities allows Zetsu to, through his spore abilities or direct contact, copy the chakra of an enemy and create a virtually identical copy of them. Zetsu basically uses this technique to assume the form of any individual that he has touched, right down to their unique chakra. The clones can be produced from earth or organic vegetal matter as well as through Zetsu's spore technique. Only emotional sensing abilities can detect the difference. These clones will not be strong enough to fight an extended battle, so its primary purpose is for the function of a diversion. When the clone dies the appearance retains that of the person created until Zetsu releases it. These clones can use any technique the user knows up to A-Rank or, when they are used for the substitute technique, up to A-Rank of the basic 5 the copied ninja can use.

Flytrap Absorption Technique: White Zetsu turns his body into a giant Venus Flytrap shape that wraps around the target, and then by opening his mouth he then begins the chakra absorption to drain the targets chakra.
White Zetsu Merging Technique: This technique allows several White Zetsus to
merge into a single large being with their venus flytrap-like middles opened up. The merged white zetsu have a resiliance to Naruto's Nine Tailed Chakra modes Yang chakra influence preventing them from becoming Trees.
Merging: Black Zetsu can merge with the opponent and take over his body as long as he is weak. He can make the opponent forcibly use the techniques to him advantage. This variation is still to be added into the RP.

Honestly, this is the max that I can get.
The primary reason why I liked Zetsu is because of his
Cloning + Parasite Spore + Wood ability. Zetsu can act both as a decoy as well as a proper ninja. Basically, this is a bio that you can wield which does not have power like Raikage/Minato/Jinchuriki, but still have fun and fight on equal terms with the said opponents.

His wood ability is subpar to a real Mokuton user, such as Hashirama and Yamato. Keep that in mind, as your techniques won't really be Mokuton techniques but rather some variation of Roots control.
You completely missed a huge aspect of this biography, though - Mayfly. That is your bread and butter. You have left out some other aspects of the biography, but we will go through them with this training.

- You will grow the missing leg in both halves, but nothing else. You will be able to use jutsus with each half, but say, Taijutsu, won't be your best suit considering you are missing an entire arm, your ear and eye in the same side. This is quite a drawback when defending against stealth attacks, as your hearing is quite impaired and so is your eyesight.
- An interesting escape route would be to split yourself into two using this technique to avoid a taijutsu technique/thrown kunai/very focused techniques, that don't have a wide range ( Take for example Chidori Spear, you will be able to avoid the first strike of it by splitting. However, take into account your opponent could react to your technique, such as swinging the Chidori Spear around, and cutting you anyway)
- You NEED to use this technique, and it will count as a move to your 3 move count, to reunite both halves.
- If one of your Halves dies, the other one can keep on fighting, but you won't grow back the missing body parts for the rest of the fight, which is a great disadvantage.
- White Zetsu is kind of an idiot, Black Zetsu is the smarty pants of the duo.

If you look at the 4th fact, you said Zetsu can't grow back a body part. Black Zetsu was shown to grow back half of his body after being cut. Wiki states it as well. But I think Scorps hasn't updated Zetsu yet.
This jutsu can be used to gain advantage over the opponent in a sense that after performing this jutsu, the opponent has to fight against 2 people. However it restricts us to use techniques with one or no handseals, which is a big disadvantage. So basically I can't see myself using this technique more in battles unless its for RP purposes, unless I find an alternative to use handseals

I was uncertain about mentioning Black Zetsu's regeneration, as NB rules currently compromise the old Zetsu, not the current "Black Zetsu mastermind of the whole Naruto Series" one. Is that so? You can find absolutely no other use to this technique? I mean, for instance, you could split and make one of the halves throw the other one out of harm's way, if you can't find a better solution to a jutsu.

If I were to use it, I'd use it in close quarters, even though its not advisable. Using it in close range means I can use two hands, two bodies, 4 legs against one opponent.
