Was Sasuke really good enough for Akatsuki?

As the title says, do you really think he was good enough to be an Akatsuki member?

Personally I don't think he was. When he was requested to capture and bring back the 8 tails, if it wasn't for the 3 team mates he was with he would have without a doubt died. Suigetsu prevented him being chopped up by putting the executioners blade right in front of the blades path. Karin and Jugo also played a large part in keeping him safe.

Not only did he and his team mates nearly get annihilated, they failed the mission to capture Bee. Was Bee really that much stronger than all of the other Jinchuriki or was Sasuke just not fit for the position?

Another point of view is that Sasuke killed Deidara, who alone, captured the one tails (Gaara) who was an incredibly strong enemy.

What are your thoughts?

Akatsuki's are supposed to hold their own and work in pairs not in 4 member teams.

I think he At that time was barely good enough to be apart of akatsuki... The only reason he beat deidara was because he was a perfect counter for deidara's ninjutsu with his lightning style.

I just think sasukes power compliments certain foes. Bee was immune to genjutsu so it made it tougher on sasuke whereas deidra could have taken bee but is suseptable to genjutsu so he wasn't a good match

He didn't beat itachi... Itachi was letting him win and needed to get rid of orochimaru......

Unlike other Jin, Bee could use 8 Tails Chakra at will without any negative side effects.
