Well, I'm not going for the preachy little 16 year old boy that's trying to instill his idiotic morals on everyone with a Rasengan to the face "if you don't follow or listen to me". That's basically what his mindset is and it gets on my nerves.

I like Sasuke 1000000000000000000000 times over. His mysterious agenda, amazing chaotic backstory and his persistent drive is what makes this manga interesting. You could honestly say that Sasuke is a more interesting character than this main little Jesus. Going from working hard and busting your ass to bringing people back to life and healing human organs contradicts Naruto's whole personality from part one.

Sasuke's goals and the actions that he takes are unexpected. With Naruto's actions, you expect them and that gets boring. Characters that are full of adventure and darkness. Characters that have a drive and wants to get the job done. Characters that don't whine and cry over their enemies knowing how much shit that they have caused them (Naruto in chapter 687). Characters that don't pursue other boys to get in the way of their own training. (Beginning). Characters that don't cry and moan over a boy that never really gave two fcks about you. (many moments in Shippiden involving Naruto). Characters that can actually change their outfit more than once and not have the same theme for three years. Characters that are willing to think realistic and know that true peace and the same old failed system will only fail again.

I'm not fond of following Naruto and his redundant pathetic ideals, just because he happens to be the MC and the name of the manga is named after him. Not my style. Naruto is too simple for me to like and the constant decline in his character in Shippuden proves my point that he is a walking line of hypocrisy and contradictions. Naruto in part one used to be everything to me. I actually tolerated and respected Naruto back when he would work for everything and beat his opponents when he had to. Now that he has become this child of prophecy with inhuman powers makes him a complete joke.

Vegeta versus Goku is the same way I see Sasuke versus Naruto. Goku is the same hero MC that you always expect in a Shounen manga / anime, while Vegeta is that anti hero/villain that sparks up the story and shows character development. Sasuke reminds me of that.

Sasuke is way better to me. Naruto doesn't even compare anymore.

What about his ideals is "pathetic"?

Naruto thinks there is good in everyone and that the world can be a peaceful place if he wills it to.However sometimes people are plain rotten to the core and the world does it's own thing regardless of what you do.

I've read many stories with characters like Naruto and in the end they end up being disillusioned by the world.

That happens a lot also, but those characters actions are not entirely in vain, I'm sure they change some people. Also sometimes is right, more often than not there are more people who are not rotten to the core.

Pretty much my opinion on this matter if I made it into a mini essay.

Everything.

And Sasuke is more of a "Grey". Naruto's the Black and White one.

Oh so you meant generic shonen mentality.
Yes and no. Yes in regards to Naruto; no in regards to my posts about reality (I just continued on with it not realizing it was incorrect, in that instance :p).

Explain everything that makes Naruto's ideals not worth following. And no, Sasuke's view of the world is very Black and White compared to Naruto's.

I like both of them. On a psychological point of view though, Sasuke's character is more interesting.

I never said he is a fairy type character, the way Kishi writes him however comes off as a little too idealistic.Naruto thinks in Black and White when the world is a shade of grey.
if naruto thinks in black and white he should kill nagato and others, but not hear their point of view.

Let me flip this question since you don't bother to pay attention. What about Naruto's ideals aren't pathetic?

Naruto seeks to create peace. I don't see what could possibly be pathetic about that. Also, you should have said "isn't" instead of "aren't". Bolding it was not a good idea.

You actually find this interesting?

You must be registered for see images

The complexities of Sasuke's character that was deeply rooted in his childhood is manifesting now. Naruto is an open person, he may have had his insecurities but he can openly talk about it. Sasuke, however is a different story.

If that image is what you think my post meant and if that is what you only encompass as "psychological", you're mistaken. Lol

Your grammar could use some work. Also, I'm not sure if you know who you're condescending there...

Was never good with writing. And yes, I've read the theories, but that's another story.

OT: I like both. Sasuke by a notch.
