Hashirama did not have killing intent until the end when he resolved to kill his friend. Hashirama was not exhausted during the fight. Hashirama doesn't need to get past Yata Mirror, the moment Itachi uses Susano it's already a death sentence for Itachi. His Mokuton sprouts from the ground he can easily remove Itachi from Susano. Hashirama is leagues above that "genius." Madara himself called him The Ultimate Shinobi.

Well....I.cannot say, I'm not Kishi.... but Madara is very very slightly weaker than Hashirama.... I feel if you add a genius like Itachi, Hashirama would lose easily....madara can already take Hashirama to brink.... Add Itachi imho Hashirama could not win this period.....
