Read the thread title. Why I dislike Naruto, thought people would be smart enough to realise that i am giving MY opinion and MY interpretations of the manga. For me Naruto was about perseverance, the whole hokage thing, so when he became the child of prophecy it completely contradicted what he is about, in my eyes.
Here's the thing. It may be your opinion, but that doesn't mean people can't argue with it. When you post something here, it's either for people to express agreement or disagreement with their own opinion, you can't have either or. If you don't anyone disagreeing with your opinion, don't ever post it, keep it to yourself.

I don't really care about your country or their morals which is more than likely different from the United States as a whole.
What you care for is no ones business but you. Nor we are discussing morals of USA whatever they are.We were discussing manga logic. If you were discussing yourself and your country you should have said you don't do it in your country it and not question it being done ever at all.
Manga is based more on eastern philosophy not American so I don't see why you would even bring it then.
However I can find links where some christian US families at least show the same sentiments so I doubt your views represent all the people in the nation all the time. Sasuke himself is the embodiment of what desiring a path to power can be, Sasuke believed the best way to handle to Bijuu problem was to just crush them and thereby eliminate the problem. Here's the thing for the people arguing about this. You can have every character be unforgiving, or every character be forgiving. Either would be extremely bad writing. You need to mix it. You say no one would call someone who killed their parents cool and forgive them, but that's not true. You can't very well call it unrealistic since this is a fictional manga, what one man could actually cause all that Obito has on the level that he has in our real world? Our standards clearly don't apply to a world where killing can be seen as a honorable and acceptable job, but killing of the same nature is simultaneously unacceptable. Naruto forgiving Obito isn't unrealistic by the standards of the series. You can say it's not a desirable trait, you can say it's not a likeable trait, but you can't call it an unrealistic trait, it's a relatively realistic trait, especially when Obito himself has helped and died for a cause to fix all his wrongs.
Also, it's because Naruto has worked hard that he has gotten to the level where he is acceptable to inheriting power, they don't spite each other since one was a prerequisite to the other.
You claim Naruto is a piece of fiction for us to relate to, so tell me this: What person in our real world is capable of doing everything on their own. We all need other people to rely on. There's things we all can do and can't do, and what we can't do, we rely on the ones that can to do it for us. Having a problem with Naruto achieving things through cooperation and not independence 100% of the time makes you a hypocrite if you say we are supposed to relate to this story. Until you point one person who can treat his own wounds, build his own car, hunt and preserve his own animals, pay himself, give himself a job, generate his own power, build his own house, have access to his own water supply, then you have no right to have a problem with Naruto achieving things through cooperation.
Again this is my opinion, I for one would forgive a criminal who had a similar case as Obito, but to "bypass" all of his previous actions and think he is "badass",I ouldn't be able o bring myself to, see once again it makes you question what you would do in his shoes. Bringing you closer to character or further away, and in my case it pushes me further away, from appreciating Naruto's character.
It is a fictional piece of work,yes. You are talking as a realist, taking it literally its common sense that we cannot live in a "modern" sense without the help of others, it is very much accomplish able, however not in the way in which we have accustomed ourselves to. And as well as that we are not in direct co operation with a majority of those "contacts". i made that comment, in the sense that i was part of the audience, should be written there. Naruto has yet to accomplish anything significant without help, and for me the audience, that is a deterrent in terms of liking his character.
