@Bold, Naruto's under the same situation.
Clearly the gravity isn't affecting anything she had not chosen to affect originally.
What she chose to affect was clearly only the area Naruto and Sasuke lied.

Sasuke exited the location where gravity was affecting him as I explained in another thread.
Regardless if the gravity affects him or not is still boosting his speed falling downwards.
Falling downwards > Flying upwards.
Flying upwards is basically going against all gravity, while falling downwards uses that gravity to speed the process.


Regardless when Naruto flew up if the gravity was affecting him or not he's still at a much larger disadvantage Sasuke without the close distance and boost Sasuke was given.
