Why doesn't it matter? Naruto has learned a lot coming to the point he is at. Remember when he wanted to kill Nagato when he confronted him? He remembered what Jiraiya said and got rid of his anger. He did this because he wants to acquire world peace like Jiraiya did. Naruto no longer judges people by their past actions, and Obito clearly reformed. He also admired Obito's new/old qualities.
Naruto is unrealistic in terms of being too forgiving, and since he can sense evil intent, this is a great thing.

Actually yes, the instance with Nagato was also stupid as he used a book to change Nagato.
That was the moment when the manga has decreased in writing quality.
Nagato killed his sensei and his master not to mention the majority of the village and left it in ruins.
If Nagato didn't resurrect everyone back to life then Naruto would have stupid back then too.

Those are arguable in my eyes. Sasuke's hatred, Lee's determination, Itachis loyalty and Hinata's love are all far more realistic than Naruto idolizing someone like ObitBITO! Like ****, do you even remember everything he's done???


Not to mention Itachi, Lee, and Hinata are side characters, so their personalities would obviously be less fleshed out

Some criminals redeem themselves and receive a pardon, not all remain in jail or are executed. All Naruto did was see Obito for who he truly was, and realized how cool that Obito was.

that is only in some cases some will be given a pardon. obito was a terrorist that waged war against the world there is no redeeming yourself from that. like i said obito had a change of heart but what he did will never go away he still need to be punished for his crimes and it stupid to call him the coolest person.

By your logic Sasuke deserves to be punished too.
