[Discussion] Zoro vs Luffy(w/o plot shield)

I have seen some people say Zoro can defeat Luffy if not for plot shield...i kinda think this is true since Luffy's weakness seems to be swords

So you guys think Zoro can pull it off?

Forgive me if i over rated Zoro...that scene with Pica is still fresh in my mind

I don't know I think zoro and luffy are equal in strength plus we still haven't seen zoro go all out yet.

Luffy takes as much damage from swords as anyone else would(except Pirate God Buggy). Luffy wins this high diff, we haven't seen him go all out yet I think.

Everyone's weakness is swords, Zoro's weakness is swords since he can actually be stabbed by a sword but that doesn't mean that he will lose does it? And after the timeskip Oda has once again let Zoro and Luffy become close or better yet equal to each other in my opinion, knowing this, oda will probably widen the gap later on.

I think it's too early to assume that Zoro can take on luffy because luffy hasn't shown his full potential either.

We should wait to how his fight against Doflamingo goes, then we can assume who's stronger.

Remember in MF when Luffy was about to attack Mihawk but then he realised that his hands would get chopped off?

If not for plot shield then 1080 pound phoenix would destroy luffy....sure luffy could probably dodge it but if he tried taking it heads on.....
