Firstly, this is my first post so go easy on me 
-Until recently i had a theory that hinata would end up giving naruto her eyes and that would end the use for her character, the reason for this is that kishi seems to make use of character's backstory's as with obito and kakashi/ sasuke and itatchi, well in this case hinata is the eldest child in the main branch of the hyuuga, she also has a strong admiration for naruto to the extent to do anything for his benefit, these two things alone seem to be enough in my mind to link her to the future of naruto's power ups, he could then maybe achieve a power similar to kaguya as he would have Hamura's direct main branch's chakra/eyes alongside hagoromo's power, this theory however i decided to put aside but not completely, this is due to the drawings for the new movie that kishi revealed of naruto's older character, his eyes are as they are now meaning no bayakugan is present, howwwwweveeeer.... naruto and sasuke had a moment when they clashed jutsu's when sakura tried to kill sasuke, it was sort of revealed that they would both die during their fight, so i was thinking, what if they do actually die at the end of the manga, maybe the movie's just another spin off like the others of 'what could have been a cool story/filler to have included in the plot', if this is the case my theory could be valid but if not, maybe kishi's saving the fight for the movie? That'd be cool but it would most likely dismiss my theory which'd suck...
What do you think? I mean she's the direct heir to Hamura's transmigrant if he has one, and her desire to help Naruto to any extent, wouldn't seem all that far fetched if she gave him her eyes. Also Neji's death kind of makes it like a reassurance that it would have to be Hinata and kind of focuses the role on her and also the fact that the sharingan and rinnegan have been so over hyped that the byakugan seems to have been less focused on and perhaps it's power ups/other abilities are yet to be discovered, so anyway tell me what you think and go easy on me
