I've come to feel the same. It's easier to be able to switch with any object with some type of mass than having a marking. Also, Sasuke can switch other people and masses with his jutsu. Remember when he made Madara transport to hit and Naruto and they used their Rasengan/Black Chidori combo? His S/T is really OP and happens as fast as he wants to. He doesn't just switch places with himself, as long as you're in his range, he can shift you around as he pleases.
