Japanese meanings of names in Naruto

Hey guys!

I was thinking about this,and I don't know if you share this tought to..

Isn't it weird to name Naruto character by real life things and creatures in japanese? How do Japanese recieve that,do they notice that or they simply don't care? If somone translated that on my languange that would be super wierd,like Kakashi (Scarecrow Farmfield) ?

Character names like: Itachi (wiesel) ,Minato (harbor) ,Kakashi (scarecrow), Hashirama (space betwen two pillars),and so on,check it on wiki,every character has a name from every day world,or combination of two words


What do you think? Is that wierd for them?

But no culture gives someone a name of a direct item or an animal, like Itachi=wiesel

In nearly every culture names have meaning ....

My own name ... Sayantan (It has nothing to do with Satan for God's sake) refers to last moment of evening and/or The eternal one.

Even well known English names such as 'Sam' have meanings in their origin words, in this case Samael the Venom of God.

Those names have a specific symbolism that is associated to the character; like Itachi for example: his name means weasel, and the weasel in the Japanese culture is associated to death…U_U I don’t know what a scarecrow is supposed to associate Kakashi to though… especially when you realize that the scarecrow lost to someone who uses crows…Lol

I dont think so mate ... there are different words for different purpose I think, there will be a different word most likely. Funny thing is that the words 'Hinata' and 'Hyuga' can be represented by the same Kanji ..... which actually creates an actual confusion.
