Easily forgiven ? I dont think his village easily forgave him but the point is that he worked for it and redeemed himself. Also it helps that one of the people he wronged forgave him (Lee). Sasuke wants to become hokage but says he doesnt care about what people think. He also doesnt actually care about them unlike Gaara. However, the main reason ( not for me I like Sasuke ) are his fanboys. You wanna blame someone go blame macho and his like. His attitude also sucks.

I have missed something, if so note it. All these reasons can be argued depending on what people's perspectives of what is deserving of hate, or not, is. Doesn't matter what some people do, there will always be others that hate them regardless of whether they seem good or evil one person's or majority's standards.

The excuses people make for Gaara are down at the level of human refuse - it's same old same old, and it stinks. The guy basically confessed that he butchered people just to feel alive and here I see typical NBers spewing garbage for this guy. You can like him no doubt, as we all have our favourite characters, but don't think for a second that his petty sacrifice makes up for the innocent people he killed without any reason, warning, or cause. Gaara was a truly despicable human-being, and no matter what he does, to absolve him of his heinousness is borderline stupid and disgusting.

Whatever Sasuke has done pales in comparison to this guy's frequent 'feel-alive' escapades. It's not even remotely comparable. Adding some kind of Nationalistic agenda into all of this, is even more preposterous, as Sasuke's hatred was fueled by Konoha. They galvanized all Uchiha into action through consecrating Tobirama utterly rubbish political agenda - the biggest emo-window-licking-retard in the entire manga, who forever whined and moaned about the Uchiha. Couldn't even keep his hands off Madara's Sharingan. it shows his petty mental capacity to not accept and embrace the Peace Treaty which was supposed to be a fresh start between the two clans.

Gaara had no political conspiracy entangled with his fate. He chose to stay and murder innocent people anyway. When he could have simply killed his father and saved everyone the trouble and misery. This shows how weak-minded he truly was. God, how NB literally pulls stuff out of its ass is ... wondrous to behold.

Gaara's known to be a mass murderer. He was cruel and was obsessed with killing people. Many feared him but then he became good. All his crimes were forgiven with ease and he became KazeKage. This is strange, because I hear that Sasuke should be imprisoned and/or killed for his crimes, but Gaara doesn't?

It was Itachi's fault for the way Sasuke became. Sasuke was an innocent trapped in the middle of a blood fued between Konoha, the Senju, and the Uchiha. The Uchiha were right in their own way. Tobirama had racist views against the Uchiha and placed them under surveillence on the outskirts of the village. The Coup was justifiable due to the fact that the Uchiha were Co-Founders of Konoha and should've gotten a big slice of the pie within the government. But nope, they were screwed over.

Like Orochimaru said. Tobirama's views and actions against the Uchiha planted the seeds to cause them to go out like they did. He was too afraid of another Madara rising up, so he became very cautious towards them and was paranoid. It's his fault.

Learning the truth was too hard for Sasuke. He was traumatized to see so much death at a young age and had to learn so much about the truth about the Uchiha vs. Konoha. I don't like to repeat myself. Some people don't understand what Sasuke went through and complains that he's whiny, but would be just like him if someone they loved killed their family.

Yes, Sasuke did some bad things, but he's saving the world now. Shouldn't he be pardoned for all his crimes just like Gaara was for murdering people? Besides, Konoha did do him wrong along with his clan. People still try to blame him for Itachi's faults, but Itachi even had the balls to admit them, stating how much he failed as a brother to Sasuke. It was all Itachi's fault.
