[Raiton] [Continuing Lightning Training] Deviation

[Deviation]

It had been a couple of weeks since Bon had a training session with Dokuro-senpai. He had went to look for him but found that he had gone on a journey and couldn't continue training him despite his desire to. Feeling saddened by the news, Bon headed towards Ame to take his mind off the pain and to try out their local cuisine since he was a food fanatic. He heard that Amegakure served the coveted Rain Sushi which was served with a nice sake and some delicious rice cakes as dessert. Feeling hungry he set out and traveled quite a bit until he reached his destination.

Ame had quite a unique setting which really attracted Bon to it. The rainy weather coupled with a city feel felt quite mysterious and reminded him of all his good rainy days back at home. He approached a local tavern and asked for the Ame Special and sat down. In a matter of minutes his plate was served to him in a beautiful assortment of several sushi with different ingredients. His favorite was the shrimp sushi with bell peppers and avocado. He amusingly enjoyed his sake and munched down on some rice cakes as well. They were in the shape of a cute spirals. As he enjoyed his meal, a cloaked figure approached him and sat at his table. A warm voice spoke which came from a woman.

"I see you have many names Shisui."

"What? Oh so you know about the other training with your Amekage?"

"I have heard many things."

"Oh okay. (intrigued) Have you tried this special? It is quite delicious. You want me to buy one for you?"

"Of course if you don't mind."

"A man should always treat a lady to a meal. Especially one as lovely as yourself, Mademoiselle Belladonna."

"Oooh a romantic. So how is your training going? I don't see Kiri-nin here often. Is there something you need?"

"Well I came here to enjoy the food and see if anyone was offering training in lightning. My senpai has gone on a journey so I have no one to teach me. Do you know of any?"

"Well since you are paying for my meal I can at least ask around and see who I can find. Come tomorrow to the training field we have on the town outskirts. It doesn't rain there so you shouldn't have any problems there with a teacher. Just make sure you are prompt otherwise your teacher will drop you. Sound okay handsome?

"(stutters) O..o..okay. No problem. Thanks again Mademoiselle Belladonna. I won't forget this kind gesture."

"(Inquisitively) How did you know my name anyways? I don't recall telling you."

"You dropped your handkerchief. I hope you don't mind if I keep it with me?'

"I was going to give you my panties but that works better. Night handsome." :mew:

With that the two left to their respective homes and the evening turned into night and then into daylight. Bon headed to the spot he was told and quietly awaited for whoever was going to teach him. He keeps his ears and eyes peeled in case this turned out to be a trap. Ame-nin could be so deceptive sometimes. >_>

Skulduggery nods his head at his student to tell him that he has successfully completed this lesson,
"Okay, the next lesson is condensing lightning, this is also the first step to chidori, have you heard of this infamous technique? All you need to do is gather lightning into your hand as you've done many times, release it but instead of letting it go everywhere, keep it in the palm of your hand and shape it, shape it so that it becomes a ball of crackling lightning, then once you have done this condense all the power of the lightning together that is the hard part condensing all this power into a ball, don't be too quick is slow, you'll make it explode."
Skulduggery steps back a couple of paces.

"As a matter of fact, I have Dokuro-senpai." said Bon with much enthusiasm. That technique had been quite renowned as the rasengan and one Bon was anxious to try. "Alright let's go!" said Bon now pumped up and ready to go.

Bon prepares by closing his eyes and placing his hands together. He focuses on his energy and begins to build up his chakra. He feels its energy grow and grow in power. He feels it surge throughout his body. After building the necessary amount up, he opens his eyes and puts his right arm out. He places his left hand on his right forearm and begins to channel all that pent up chakra to his right palm. The energy surges throughout his hand and sparks begin to flow, radiate, and grow where then Bon keeps the ball in the same size. It is quite challenging at first because he has to maintain its shape and still keep directing his chakra into it. The sound of crackling lighting gets a little louder as the power is being condensed many times. Lightning spikes pop out here and there but Bon keeps trying hard to maintain its shape and power. He feels the pressure of the ball wanting to explode but he keeps going at it, trying even harder to maintain it now. He squints one eye as he is pushing his limits. Bon decides to try something risky but he feels he has no choice. He increases the size a bit to make a bigger ball of lightning. Now it is a good medium size ball of lightning. It roars back as a crackling sound like the sound of many birds being caged.

Bon is able to hold it steady for a bit until he loses a bit of control and a lightning spike hits the ground making a small, deep fissure. He feels surprised that he was capable of such power but he tries his best not to lose control of the technique again. So he tries again to increase the size and is now able to keep it a steady size and power. Bon was quite confident now that he was able to stabilize it but this had taken him a while to achieve. He looked over to Dokuro-senpai as sweat rolled down his face and he could be heard panting as he was a bit exhausted.

"So...Dokuro-senpai...was that good enough?"

I still needed to reply to this so I will do so now and then we can go from there. :mew:

Skulduggery is scratching his powder white chin and nodding as he watches the events unfold, he throws his hands out forward about to make hand seals when the lightning creates a fissure in the ground, then sees that bon keeps the lightning controlled. "Very good, you're doing well. Now maintain that and then increase pressure between your hand and the ball and then release it blasting the ball towards a dummy, if you think your aim is good enough."

Feeling a challenge coming on Bon readies himself again while he is maintaining the lightning ball in his hand. He can feel the pressure build up as he knows he can't control it for long. One has to give in and Bon was determined it wouldn't be him. Not this time...not today. As he held onto the lightning ball he felt he felt that maybe this was the time to go for it. He had no choice and he wanted to prove to his new teacher that he was one of the few gifted shinobi of Kirigakure. He ran towards the dummy with at an accelerated speed. He could feel the sweat roll down his face as he felt an adrenaline rush. He could feel the intense music in his ears as he raced towards the dummy in the distance. He tried not to release the ball yet as he felt the pressure build up. From afar you could see a dust trail and the screaming of a mad man.

"Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!"

With the same momentum he was feeling, Bon jumped into the air. The sun shone behind him and almost gave the impression of a god at work. Bon was determined to not give up despite his past failures. He could feel his muscles tensing and he knew this was the point of no return. As he extended his right arm out towards the dummy he grabed his right arm with his left hand and aimed it correctly to his target below. He released the ball with a burst of chakra and watched it zoom at a near untrackable speed towards the dummy. The lightning ball sped forward and forward until it hit the dummy in the chest and proceeded to explode as lightning blts shot out almost screaming themselves with the sound of birds chirping. As Bon landed on the ground below where Lady Belladonna was, he panted in heavy breath:

"So...how...was...that?"

Combinations-strategies: If it protects you against anything then do a fireball technique and then ram through it with the lightning armor and then paralyze your foe.

Ways to counter this technique: Use a water technique

You Doing the jutsu: Shin channels the chakra in his body and begins to focus it on the outside of his skin. As the lightning progressively gets stronger, Shin controls it to become denser and stronger so that any lightning doesn't touch him lest he be paralyzed. He continues this process for several minutes trying to control it since this is his first time with the technique. As he stands there with the technique in its completed form he awaits the teacher's opinion on his execution of it.

Using your chakra have all the rocks and stone fall done from the hill so it rains down towards my clone when you then release a wave of electrical energy right behind the rocks so they both hit my clone.

- Advantageous in mountainous and/or hill areas
- If you are running up a hill/mountain you can distract your enemy while you are in motion
- Low rank and less chakra waste


Weak points

-It requires you to be on a hill/mountain
-You need to decide where you focus your attention; if you focus on the rocks/debris then you won't be able to see what your enemy is doing; if you focus on the enemy you won't be able to see where the rocks are coming from behind you.
-You can't control the dislodged rocks


Combinations-strategies: The only element I like using with lightning is water. Looking at the technique, it would be unique to use it with a small water wave below you to create mud but then wouldn't the lighting make it clay?

Ways to counter this technique: As a wood user you could try to use (Mokuton: Mokujōheki) Wood Release: Wood Locking Wall but don't know if the lightning wave would affect it in anyway or you could create wood that branches off to the side and climb it simultaneous to catch up to the person. But as a normal ninja, you could use an earth wall technique to cover you. Not a clue what would help since I haven't made it that far in earth techniques.

You Doing the jutsu: As Yamato climbs the hilltop to get some exercise, he notices a clone start running after him. He Startled, Yamato begins to run as well, channels his chakra as he performs the Snake → Upside down Tiger hand seals, and then with his Hands clapped together he releases a wave of electrical chakra behind the rocks as he quickly passes them. The wave dislodges the rocks and stone to come raining down on the poor, poor clone. Yamato laughs as he sees the clone disappear in a poof.

"Ha! I thought he wanted to play chase with me!"

Combinations-strategies: I can use this technique by catching my opponent in a narrow spot. If i use the C-rank earth technique that brings up two slabs of earth, I can release this technique even before the slabs of earth have a chance to crush my opponent. Even before that, I can even use a genjutsu to disable them so that they wouldn't be able to defend against it.

Ways to counter this technique: A simple wind technique D-rank, I think, would suffice. I can also use a wind technique (B-rank) and use it to make a small vortex in one of my hands, which I will use to push myself up in the air so I would not get hit.

You Doing the jutsu: I gather my lightning chakra in my body and channel it in my arm and hand (left side). I focus on that chakra and slowly release it in the outside of my arms, coating it in a thin blade of lightning. Afterwards, i use nature transformation to transform the nature of my chakra into actual lightning. Once i did that, i use shape manipulation to shape the lightning into some sort of horn that extends from my hands. I use my chakra to release it with the same shape towards all 4 clones.

Combinations-strategies: This would be a nice technique to use against a kenjutsu user. This technique can be used against shadow clones or any kind of clones to at least weaken them because if they make more than one clone it would be hard for the user to face against all of them. I can also use this when someone is under a genjutsu, having three of the blades come at different points and angles so once they release from it it would be hard to see the hidden ones.

Ways to counter this technique: I would simply us a wind technique to neutralize and overpower the lightning blade of the sword you can have it attack your opponent too. Also, if you eliminate the first sword first, then you won't have a problem because the two other swords would not form without the original sword.

You Doing the jutsu: Facing upwards towards the sky, I take out my sword and put it up in front of me. I channel my chakra towards my hands which are holding the sword and slowly release that chakra into the blade itself. Using nature transformation to transform that lightning chakra into lightning itself, the lightning surrounds the blade. I again use my chakra to create exact copies of the sword, kind of making it like a shadow clone. Like the original, it has lightning covering all of it as well. I then motion with my right hand and send them flying towards each of your clones.

Instead of using a sword, would you be allowed to use other weapons possibly tools too (shuriken, kunai, senbon, etc.)

- discharging to mid range takes some time as the lighting travels through the ground
- I believe you have to maintain the technique until the desired effects are achieved


Combinations-strategies: I believe within short-range, and as you said, during a taijutsu fight. If I quickly release the chakra in my palms and attack them with my hands during the taijutsu battle, they would be caught off guard. I could also use this technique to attack someone who is hiding behind an earth defense C rank or under, so it would continue on to them. Also, it is a great way to keep them far away from you.

Ways to counter this technique: You can raise the ground you're in with an earth technique or lower it so you won't be struck by the bolts of lightning, and/or you can use the B-rank wind technique to punch the ground to push yourself up and the lightning wouldn't stop it because wind is strong against lightning.

You Doing the jutsu: I take a fair amount of lightning chakra from my chakra reserves and channel it towards my right palm. I jump high in the air while concentrating my lightning chakra in one point of my palms, then when I land I slam my right hand onto the ground. At the same time I would release the lightning chakra i had stored in my right hand and release it in the ground evenly, creating a shockwave from the ground with me as the epicenter and bolts of lightning electrocuting anyone standing within range.

Strong points

- For Raiton, this is a pretty handy defensive jutsu
- considering how fast lighting is, this is a good one to incorporate into CQC
- That potential for paralysis or shock is good


Weak points

- I believe you have to maintain the technique until the desired effects are achieved
- can only be done at short range, restricting your usage of it


Combinations-strategies: I find it hard to see any offensive uses whatsoever.. So defensive it is. I would use this defensively against earth techniques like projectiles. If I create a wall like this, the earth will simply go through and it will crumble into pieces, which would be effective because lightning is strong against earth. Here's a weird idea, maybe if there's a technique that comes from the ground (stone spikes) I can have my hands faced down on top of the ground and when the earth needles/spikes come, it will turn into crumbles after hitting the wall of lightning.

Ways to counter this technique: Because this is purely defensive, I think you won't really have to defend against it. But if you want your opponent to stop this technique so they can't defend against the earth projectile, I think I would start off with a wind technique like wind blade. Because wind is strong against lightning they can't use this technique or else they'd get hurt. Afterwards I would follow it up with an earth technique because transitioning into a defensive technique to defend against the wind to a lightning wall would take longer or you could just attack from under.

You Doing the jutsu: I gather lightning chakra in my body and direct it over to my left palm. I slowly release that lightning chakra thinking of the properties of lightning so i would know what I intend to make. As I release the chakra I perform nature transformation, I use that to transform the nature of my chakra into one that is piercing. With nature transformation I am able to change my chakra into actual lightning. I use my chakra to coat it around the lightning and shape it into a wall in front of me.

Combinations-strategies: I was thinking of using this technique with a water wall technique so as to push the opponent back and create a good frontal defense.

Ways to counter this technique: Counter with a sufficient or stronger wind wall/barrier to dispel the lightning and/or keep going forward.

You Doing the jutsu: Karin channels her Raiton chakra back into her palms as she closes her eyes and focuses. She sends the chakra to the outside of her palm into a small circle but it becomes larger and larger by the second as it jolts with bolts of electricity that could paralyze someone. As the circle takes to its final form it turns into a massive electrifying dome he starts walking towards your clone and as soon as the dome touches the clone, lightly the clone goes into a massive fit with bolts of electricity circling around his body it puffs into and it puffs into smoke
