Sadly some do.
Really? Mind showing me a link? Or are you just saying?
Sadly some do.
Maybe. Still doesnt explain how she let her stay in her state for whole series. Even if a child was unplanned, you are not allowed to neglect it just like that.
Unfortunately if you never heard this in your life. There's no choice how you come into this world either or NV i should say.
She's young she will earn her reputation. Itachi, Tsunade and Jiraya are dumb comparisons as they are older and already earned their hype and reputation she has yet to do so as a matter of fact this is her first war. You should know that.
Sasuke is known as a criminal and murderer... and up to current naruto is the guy that saved leaf and well hes fighting the war. They are the boys they clean up.
That fits a secondary character. Meanwhile, Sakura is a wannabe main heroine for now.Well she is not neglected, She is amazing in her way but her development was in crests and basins ,ie, she recives great spotlight for a short time and then kinda no more than average for the rest ..... like Kishi has trouble keep her in mind and keeps forgetting her.
I do what I wantPS You cant compare a unplanned extra char to a unplanned child .... but a not-so-desireable piece of furniture is much appropriate.
Sasuke and Naruto are of her age. You cant say that she is a multi-dimensional character just because she might become one in the future

Many women in violent relationships often stay with the abusers even if they tried to kill them.
But I never did, you just did, but since you mentioned it yes she is just not as defined as the others for the reasons i stated. I said in time to come she could. And told you why it's unfair to compare people who have already experienced their ninja life even past their prime barring itachi for dying you. She has done enough to not be seen as one dimensional but that's me you may keep your opinion on the type of character she is I can't hold that against you.
Sometimes they actually "love", but those people can be considered as ones who have mental issues. You can compare apples and oranges if u want .... But that doesnt make you essentially right in every aspect u know.
Isnt fear the major reason for those cases?

No matter the reasons. She is not enough to be a main character yet. She could be a likeable secondary character. To sum it up: She has way too much screen time for what she does.
It all would change if she had influenced directly the outcome of war. Then I could forgive Kishi forcing her down our throats as a main character.

I never could possibly be right in every aspect. But I think that arguing over comparision use is pointless.

Healing bot as a main character doesnt quite add up. Read my previous comments.UNfortunately you don't decide the status of her character unless you hold the pencil that draws her in the manga we read every wednesday. If the author does not see a problem with his character we can say what we want. She still holds it till the story ends.
She has influenced the outcome of the war 3 times. Two forms of remote healing and also she helped save the main character of the story. Heck her basic medical duties in the war has influenced it, if you look at it as a realistic war important characters and the no names all count.
He is not forcing anyone to do anything. If she was really being forced down anyones throats here you all would have stopped reading. Yet everyone is still here so might as well suck it up.

But this is kind of pointless. You take this case quite personally and are bit too agressive with little arguments. I do understand that you are defending your favourite character, but i think this kind of approach leads us nowhere. We should just stop arguing and leave space for others.
Just to clarify; I dont hate Sakura nor I wish she wasnt here. I like series with all kinds of characters, likeable or not. Its just my opinion that she is not fit for the main character.
It doesn't for you because of how you see medical ninjutsu, again.
I have not shown any signs of aggression in any of my posts so i'm not entirely sure what arguement you are talking about, also Sakura is not my favorite character. She is up there, but this thread discusses a case that is a plague to readers and it's gotten pretty out of hand.
I never said you hated her either? Also i already acknowledged that it was your opinion before. Okay.
I am not surprised this thread got 8 pages. People really just love talking about Sakura, its just funny when people she is boring but if she was so boring how the hell does she get 8 pages of discussion, obviously people like talking about her.
The "problem" with Sakura is that despite being a main character (if this was a live action show her name would be in the opening titles) she is not as developed, interesting or impactful as her teammates Kakashi, Naruto, and Sasuke. Hell, we've never seen Kakashi's full face and we know more about his life, his goals, personal failings, family history etc.
Looking at the story of Naruto and Shipuuden, the main arcs are about Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto a talentless ninja, who through hardwork, perseverance and assistance from both his teachers (Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Iruka) and Kurama (by virtue of being a jinchuriki) has forged himself in to one of the most powerful ninja on the planet. Even before he was god-level, Naruto had a history of fight physically superior opponents (Kiba, Neji, Kabuto, Sasuke, Orochimaru, Kakuzu, 6 Paths of Pein, Third Raikage, Muu). Where he defied the odds and came out victorious or inflicted serious harm to them. Naruto is the main character and hero of the series and has been intent on ending this war and bringing peace.
Sasuke a ninja born with incredible talent, who pursued his cause to avenge his clan and kill his brother by following a path of darkness. Sasuke was mentored by Orochimaru and Kakashi and has continuously improved fights. Defeating kage level opponents like Orochimaru, Deidara, Itachi, Killer Bee/Habachi and Danzo. Sasuke has given up his quest for revenge and now seeks to end the war and protect the Leaf village in his brother's memory.
Kakashi is the sensei of Team 7. While one would imagine he would have the same pitfalls of underdevelopment as Sakura, in the shadow of Naruto and Sasuke. Kakashi avoids this by having a back story that connects to the present war arc and by having good shows of combat ability against dangerous opponents throughout the manga (Zabuza, Sound Ninja, Deidara, Hidan, Kakuzu, Deva Path, Sasuke, 7 Mist Swordsmen, the tailed beasts, and Obito). Kakashi's connection to Obito, his former teammates; gives him clause to be involved in the war arc outside of obligation to his nation. Obito was manipulated in to crafting this war and the Akatsuki because of what Kakashi did to Rin back when they were kids. Kakashi's story is woven in alongside Naruto and Sasuke's.
Finally to Sakura, she is the least developed of the main cast of Team 7. She has no arc (like Naruto and Sasuke), or undercurrent of a story (like Kakashi) to speak of. Her presence feels obligatory. She has skills, but they are not put in to practice to help move the story forward. The exception being her fight with Chiyo against Sasori. The arc/story she does have seems to revolve around the affections of a man (Sasuke) who is not interested in her. If there was reciprocity in this relationship, maybe Sakura's character wouldn't feel so stagnant, but there is none. The Byakgou Seal power up was revealed out of left field but you can accept it because of who her sensei is, and it was way past due for Sakura to gain a power up. However that growth is negated by Sakura having to be rescued by both Naruto and Sasuke a few pages later in the chapter and Naruto and Sasuke gaining an even more hax power up to their already OP arsenals. Sakura can't win for losing. If she was a minor/supporting character like Ino, Hinata, Shizune, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but she isn't. Sakura is supposed to be just as important as her teammates. It's Naruto's story so he's taken care of. Sasuke is Naruto's rival and a sizable chunk of the story revolves around him. Kakashi is connected to Naruto, Sasuke, Obito, Minato, Guy and Sakura. This gives Kakashi enough clause to merit his prevalence next to the 2 mains. Sakura feels like a tacked on companion by comparison.
